This is a fast-paced story and I enjoyed the ride! Beck starts as a grumpy man, but over time he opened up to Sheridan and what started as awkward and rude behavior gives way to much much more!
This is a single-parent romance, with a fantastic daughter who is happy to chatter away and sing Let It Go.

This is the first book I read by AM Hargrove and I am really happy to give a book of hers a try. The first thing that popped up to me was the blurb. People who know me know that I have a weakness for single parents. Especially single dads convince me to one-click a certain book. I am happy that I read this book.
This book is about Beckley and his 6 yours old daughter English, and Sheridan who is English's teacher. When Beck and Sher first meet during parent-teacher conference, he was such an asshole towards her. I really wanted to smack him for talking and acting so rude. Beck is a very broody alpha male that doesn't talk much. Sheridan was an awesome character, she turned out to be a bit different than you first expected her to be. Then English's mom, who abandoned her when she was just a baby, comes back for custody. Beck needs to find himself a wife to make sure that doesn't happen. Who better than English's teacher Sheridan, who English can't stop talking about.
I absolutely LOVED English; she was so cute, sweet and just AWESOME! I also loved her relationship with her dad and with Sher. What I also loved is that Sheridan didn't take any crap from Beck. She was a strong and independent woman with a very kind heart. Also I couldn't stay mad at Beck because he was just super swoonworthy whenever he was with English. I also loved that he was a dirty-talker, especially in the bedroom. It was so HOT, and I couldn't get enough.
There was no unnecessary drama, and the pace of the story was PERFECT. There was no rushing through it, the author took her time to really tell the story in the perfect way. As for her writing, it was very easy to follow and I could really connected with it. I wouldn't mind a sequel or even a novella about the authors because I really enjoyed reading about them.

4.5 * This was a good story.. There were a few times that I thought a person would end up having something to do with the story but they didn't.. And what is up with Oliver.. will there be a story about him and Michelle so we know his story? I would have liked to have seen the epiologue a year or two out but over all it was a good book..

I liked this storyline. Some parts were cringe-y. The spice wasn’t super great. Several pop culture references (mostly frozen and some other Disney movies). It was okay.

For the Love of English - For the Love Book 1 - Review
“You’re the most important thing to me now. Do you hear what I’m saying? English is going to grow up and leave, but I want you with me forever.” - Beck
“I told Daddy to be nice to you because you’re our rainbow.” - English
Couple: Sheridan Monroe & Beckley Bridges
Author: A.M. Hargrove
Tropes: single dad romance, teacher-parent, small town, new adult, fake marriage
Review: This book…get the tissues ready. This book makes you feel like you are under their rainbow spell. This book is a beautiful read where a single dad puts everything on the line for the wonderful teacher his daughter has in order to save his daughter.
Single dad Beckley Bridges is a rough around the edges hero who is raising his daughter alone after her mother walked out. He struggles to balance his thriving photography career with English’s school and needs which is when the new teacher enters the scenes. Sheridan Monroe is a new teacher and ray of sunshine.
After a not so great teacher meeting where Beckley is late and then rude to her, she decides that he is one of those parents. Little does she know that he has been trying to battle for custody of English. Enter the main arc: fake marriage. We all love a great fake marriage book where we know the feels com eon fast.
Sheridan and Beckley are full of chemistry and both love English with all their hearts. After they get married to protect English, Beckley quickly learns avoiding the attraction and feelings is much harder to actually do. The romance is sweet with spice and oh so perfect. Beckley also is a hero who leans on his parents for support when he messes up his relationship with Sheridan. Gotta love a momma’s boy.
Overall, this book was emotional and gritty and one for anyone who loves the single dad trope!
Rating: 4.5/5, loved the couple and English but wanted more!!
