One of my favorite books in the whole world. I’ll never forget my first time discovering it at the library, bringing it home, and falling absolutely in love with the story. Polly feels like my dearest friend. She’s a real kindred spirit. Also, I had the biggest crush on Tom Shaw at fourteen.🥰
The story has stuck with me all these years. This book is beautiful and holds so many fond memories for me. A forever favorite.💗

This was my third time reading it and I loved it as much as ever! One of my favorite books ever. It’s such a comfort read, and means so much to me. There’s so much beauty in this sweet story and I love it dearly.💗

Quite the sweetest story I have read in a while. Polly is the most charming character, and I loved how the story came along. It is not just a young girl visiting her fancy friend in Boston, but also how they learn from each other and help each other grow to become wonderful women. My only qualm is that I would love to see more of their lives after the end of this part of their stories. Well, and that the romance at the end of the book was the usual, she loves him and he loves her but they don't say anything so neither knows the other likes them. It was all sweet though and I am happy with the ending.

I absolutely loved this book! The characters were all so beautifully flawed and realistic, and the message was great and very relevant even now. I will say that I enjoyed the first half and the end a bit more than the middle, but I would still HIGHLY recommend this! Louisa May Alcott never fails to amaze me!

One of my top favorite books of all time. The moral standing girl with her old fashioned ways that I try to stand to myself. The way her friends grow and learn from her is inspiring and heart warming.
