Yes it's great. Brilliant even. 5 Stars. It was entertaining from start to nearly finish.

...but.

Penny Reid is a great writer. She's one of the best. Her writing is intelligent, charming, funny. At least until she turned her hand to writing a wedding speech.

In short. Apart from entertaining me, this book taught me that it's impossible to write a good wedding speech. Don't even try.

I’m not crying. I just have something in my eye!
Anything that I thought I was missing in Neanderthal Seeks Human was delivered in full in Neanderthal Marries Human. I loved getting more of Quinn’s POV! I loved the bachelorette partying with Janie’s knitting friends! I’m just really happy overall, I guess. Janie’s family continues to not be great for her --I really hope Jem gets a redemption arc-- but it just allows for the people that care about her to step up and for her to stand up for herself. I am excited to read Elizabeth and Nico’s story and Dan and Kat’s story and ALL the stories. ❤️

i love this series & this author, but this was a 400 page book that felt like it could’ve been a 200 page novella.

As always, Reid's writing is phenomenal. This felt like a guilt pleasure. Most romance stories end with the happily ever after is implied. But this is an entire book about the happily ever after. Because of that, it was a fun read but there wasnt much else to it. There was no risk the relationship wouldnt work out or anything like that. It made it feel like a fan did, which im not complaining about - i love fic - it just seemed a little strange to me.

Regardless, i love Quinn and Janie and look forward to the rest of the knitter's books!
