I really enjoyed this book. It was very creepy all the way through, and I was really rooting for the family to have their ghosts exorcised. I was truly creeped out from reading the second half of this book, but I felt the ending was rushed and wanted to know so many things. I'll try not to give any spoilers.. my questions are, How did the ghost manage to do all that she did, even to those not living there? How is it Ollie could see into the future? Why was Caro and Jade so happy at the end? What happened to the old lady in blue? There's just so much I need to know 💀😂

The initial set up for this novel was exceptional! Hooked me and made me excited for a scary story! The intense scares ended there.
Underwhelming.
I found overall that the characters were too complacent with insane things happening around them that were clearly supernatural in nature.
Ollie, I could barely stand. He didn’t communicate with his family at all. If the three of them had just communicated a lot better they could have moved things along quicker and potentially left sooner/in time.
They chalked everything up to coincidences which is insanity.
Everyone is far too calm for far too long and how did Ollie die anyways? He should have showed his wife the skeleton right away. I would be undead furious with my husband even as a ghost for keeping that from me!
Ollie slowly losing his grip was a nice touch and some of the most interesting things to read. The characters in the village were very unique and full bodied and helped create a spooky atmosphere.
Left me with unanswered questions and open strands of details left empty. Some details seem important as you go and then amount to nothing.
Also unending useless details about people’s clothing, hanging art and home decor that add nothing to anything.
Very quick and easy read with a lot of pointless details and plot lines that ultimately lead to nothing and nowhere.
I’m just so frustrated because the tension was there and the stress was there and the buildup was there and then I was just left at the top with nowhere to go. No hill to crest no satisfaction of putting together all the pieces.
