I really enjoyed this book, it’s was such a good easy read. I really loved Mateo and Evie they were so cute. I loved how affectionate Mateo was and how he needed to be close to Evie. The book had a couple of Spicy scenes that were really good, did leave me wanting some more.
I loved the magic system in this book, I think it was the most interesting aspect of the book, I love how each member of the family had a different gift and can’t wait to dive into it in the next books to learn more about them. I like how the other characters were introduced and I suspect they will be featured in the other books in the series.
I liked the family aspect in the book and how they were all close to each other (was kinda like Charmed vibes).

A funny laugh-out-loud, cute book about a witch and a werewolf.
It had a lot of tropes, and to be fair, the story was not that great, however, it was funny and a fast read.

First time reading Juliette Cross and I'm kicking myself for taking this long to hop on the Stay a Spell train! The upside is that the final book was just released, so I can now binge the entire series. I listened to the audio, which was so well done-- I highly recommend!!
This was paranormal slow burn perfection! There is literally nothing I would change about it. Mateo and Evie are my dream couple..both are creative artists, Mateo is a troubled hero, and Evie is just the sweetest witchy heroine. They balance each other perfectly, so its no wonder that Evie would help to calm Mateo's inner wolf (Alpha).
Juliette Cross writes funny yet steamy banter better than anyone I've read from before..which I'm so glad, because IMO that is one element that typically makes or breaks it for me when reading romance. Sometimes it's too much, or not enough..and its easy for a heroine to come off as annoying rather than witty and organically quirky--but Evie seems like someone I'd want to be friends with IRL.
I've seen some reviews say that it was too slow of a plot, but I'd counter that with the fact that so much goes into character development as well as Mateo and Evie getting to know each other. So although the big plot twist moment doesn't come until near the end of the book, I wasn't bothered by that one bit. I think it gives you more time with the couple on page falling in love and exploring their dynamic together, since they're different paranormal beings.
I thought the pacing was just right, the romance was swoony and steamy, the spicy scenes were chef's kiss, and the world building wasn't overwhelming! If I could give this more than 5 stars on here, I would.
So, if you're like me and have had this series sitting on your TBR far too long, get with it! Binge the entire series like I'm about to--can't recommend it enough, and all-time fave now for sure!

this had a cool concept and I love witches and werewolves so I went in with high hopes!
cut to me being boredddd.
there's a lot of characters here. everyone is shiny happy people with cool lives and cool powers and every. single. person. is SO HOT.
she didn't spend enough time developing characters at all, most of it was a bit over the top or cringe. I think so many things just were stereotypical without being built upon or well done. I think you can embrace stereotypes and make them fun - look, no one is complaining about a hot werewolf artist, but never does Mateo feel like a werewolf. He and Alpha arguing feel like two opposite besties who secretly hate each other and have nothing in common. but they are really the same person like try harder. Nor does he ever see things from an artist perspective and says multiple things that don't make sense.
I just feel like this was a typical romance with the supernatural aspects to give them a way to meet.
the sex scenes were SO boring.
it didn't have a third act breakup which really improves it in my eyes.
