While Justice Sleeps tells the harrowing story of conspiracy at the highest levels of American government. Much of the novel is set at the Supreme Court, but the story is more political thriller with a legal backdrop. While I enjoyed the story and the suspense, I thought the plot could've been tighter and more streamlined. It also could've been more suspenseful, since it was unfortunately clear who was good and who evil from the beginning.

There were also some plot points that I found a little extreme, but if you suspend your disbelief it's fun. I thought the chess theme was interesting, but I needed more than my basic chess knowledge to fully appreciate it. Overall it was a fun read, 3.5 Stars.

This may be my first thriller so I was sure what to expect. It was engaging and enthralling. It was enraging and a little to close to the current political climate and news to be an “escape” read.
It was a bit too long for me. I was losing interest why still wanting to know how it all played out by the half way mark. There was a lot of information that I’m not sure really added to the story. The pace was a little slow for me.
I’m glad I read it and would definitely read more thrillers by Abrams despite the information overload at times.

DNF. I really wanted to like this book, but I could not stay focused on it.

This book was an ok way to pass a 20 hour car ride.  But I don't think I would have enjoyed it in print.  The book/story feels about 50% too long.  There are twists or plot lines that just seem overdone or not needed to make the story interesting.  The premise is fine, but gets bogged down as plodding.   I appreciate the author's notes of doing many edits and re-writes before release, but in the end more was needed.   Some of Associate Justice's main character flaws are pointed out, but really no consequence for such poor behavior in modern times really ever comes to pass or isn't resolved.

Basically a dan brown clone about the supreme court. Get’s really stupid but you probably inferred that from the mention of it being a dan brown clone.
