A sweet story but heavy on both repetitions and religious content that doesn't always work. The writing was a bit stiff, especially the voice of the main character. The book very much reminded me of Mister God This is Anna in good and bad ways. Philosophy is a topic I enjoy the author covering a lot more (such as in Sophie's World and The Solitaire Mystery).

I think I cried through a lot of this book as it touched me so deeply. It made me think about what was precious and what was beautiful and pushes to to think how you would describe and express that to someone else.

It's taken me about, a year to read this as I've not enjoyed it. I hate not finishing books so I come back to it all the time. I don't know if it was because it was about heaven, angels and afterlife etc but just was not my cup of tea.

I shall try Sophie's world to see if I like that as I'm told it's a great book.
