Didn't like Katherine, she was super annoying through out the entire book. Everything she threw at Alec was baseless and stupid. All because of that 'book' that she found she was going to compare every guy to it? Why didn't she do that with Sydney? Who apparently was gay? I mean there were hits but it seemed like that was thrown in there without any decent resolution to it what so ever. Anyways, what annoyed me the most was Katherine literally up-heaving herself and going to Alec's house just because she had suspicions. I MEAN REALLY?!

I'm starting to love Sabrina Jeffries' books, there are so cute and comfy.
In this one we have broke MMC, earl who needs to marry an heiress to save his estate, and he choses Katherine. Romance beetween them was great, sooo much chemistry. Alec slowly falls in love with Kat, with knowledge that she will hate him when she discovers his secret. His character development was an interesting one to watch, we saw him changing from rogue, who does not really care about anything, exept the money, to someone who deeply cared and love FMC.
Katherine was an okey main character, i liked her being a protector of her family, but her going back to Simon with every inconvienience, was getting slithly annoying .
Simon and Julian story was also interesting, I would like to read their book, but i dont think there is one.

Really good read, better than the some of the others I've read of Jefferies's. The connection and tension between the main couple was lovely and the steam factor was great!

4.5 stars! Absolutely loved it. The chemistry between Alec and Katherine is chef’s kiss. They’re both so witty, hilarious and horny for each other. Every second of this book was enjoyable. It was so balanced in every single way. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

I grabbed this book as part of the reading challenge at my local library to find an author or character that shares one of your names and I have seen so many of her books so, I decided to try it. I was expecting a bit more. I know that romance novels aren't great literature but I have read some and enjoyed them. I felt that there could have been a better interaction between Alec and Katherine. All in all it was ok. This one did have more of a story than the intimate scenes and it would have been nice for it to have gone on a little past where it ended.

3.5 stars.
First, what a bad title. Ugh. I hate when publishers do this to books. Second, this took me FOREVER to finish! I liked it, but so far, it's my least favorite Sabrina Jeffries book.
Alec made for an interesting hero. He was reckless, and not a jerk, although he lied almost right up until the last minute. That was annoying. Katherine, the heroine, was great because she was a bit curious about things, improper by society's standards, but still quite smart. She did let her past get in her way a lot, though. Together, they made quite a good couple, especially once all the secrets came out. This book was just as steamy as all of the other works I've read by this author, and I may just have to start book two now. Draker really intrigues me.
