Alec mewarisi banyak hutang dan estate yang bobrok dari ayahnya, Lord Iversley. Untuk memulihkannya, dia harus mencari wanit yang memiliki warisan kekayaan. Wanita yang tepat untuknya adalah Katherine, yang memiliki warisan seratus ribu pound, dengan satu persyaratan yaitu menikah.

Apalagi setelah bercinta, dia memang harus menikahi Alec.

Tetapi Katherine tidak bisa menyembunyikan kecurigaannya ketika Alec ingin cepat2 menikahinya. Setelah menemukan kenyataan bahwa Alec adalah pemburu harta, Katherine memutuskan rencana pernikahan mereka dan kembali pada Sydney. Alec yang mulai menyadari bahwa dia tidak bisa hidup tanpa Katherine akhirnya mengejar Katherine, membuka rahasia tentang dirinya pada wanita yang dicintainya.

Jalan ceritanya di awal agak membosankan, penuh dengan intrik soal harta dan kekayaan. Apalagi Katherine rada2 plin-plan :)

We don't love the fortune hunter trope, and this book pushes it to 11. It's saved by the sweet & sexy relationship between Alec & Katherine and the amazing series setup.

I have read a couple of rakehell fortune hunters and heiresses stories... This one definitely stood out and won a place in my heart...!!!
I love Katherine and Alec.. Will remember them for long..!

My first book by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was entertaining. It made me laugh, cry and smile throughout.
