This is book 2 in the Men Of Havoc series, and my first from author J Hutchison. I absolutely fell in love with the FMC, Calliope. Having struggled with my body/weight all my life, having Calliope as the main FMC lead in this book, and having this part of her, resonated with me. Also helped she loved and looked amazing in purple.

Calliope is wallowing following the breakdown of her relationship with Thad, and her BFF Joy drags her out to a club. Calliope meets Viktor, well she is a strong FMC and she knows what she wants for the night, and it is him, so she makes the first move. Their's is one hell of a night, but she leaves, neither knowing each other's name, but this is how Calliope wanted it.

Viktor was immediately captivated by Calliope, I mean she is his Skatten Min, from their very first meeting! OMG this MMC.....I will take him now. Per chance, they meet again, under very different circumstances, but this is serendipity at its finest, they are soulmates. With others wanting to undermine this all, Calliope and Viktor are the breaths each other needs and their strength is palpable. I loved everything about this book, and highly recommend. I look forward to the next book in this series, and more of J Hutchison's writing. Loved it.

A pick up in a bar, where names aren’t exchanged, leads to a one night stand that changes everything. Calliope meets Viktor in a bar, and she has no idea he’s a hockey player for the Houston Havoc. She never plans to see him again, until she goes to his game and fate brings them together again.

So much insta love in this book, and it just works. Viktor is one heck of a cinnamon roll MC. As soon as he sees Calliope again he knows he’s never going to let her go. They are forced to battle the media and the negative press (a lot of it fabricated) but they love each other enough to come out on the other side. I loved the positive body image parts of this book. Calliope has low self esteem (thank you loser ex) but Viktor does everything he can to show her how beautiful she is and feel confident in her own skin.

Thank you J, for my ARC of this book. I can’t wait to read your next one in this series.

In all honesty I have to say I am not a fan of the accidental pregnancy trope… however this book is beautifully written with a fierce, protective and golden retriever man that is besotted with his woman from the get go. And an amazing plus size woman who learns to own her body and sexuality and gain so much confidence

Definitely worth a read
