"How did you find us?" she asked.
I cocked my head. "Magic librarian, remember?"

This is a great book. I enjoyed every minute of it. Hines built a world in this series I will want to come back to over and over again. This may be the last one in the series.(I hope not.) However if it is, I can reread these four books over and over again. I know I will enjoy them every time.

A good finish to the series. But, it also leaves the door open for more books to be written in the same universe.

If you're looking for a fun series of books about books, this fits the bill nicely.

This volume brings the Libriomancer series into that stage like X-Men when the public knows about magic. I enjoyed it. It's fun, action-packed, and optimistic :)

I held off reading this, because I knew this would be the last book in this series. I'm going to miss Isaac, Lena, Nidhi, and the others. Especially Smudge.

But when I started reading, I couldn't put it down. Isaac is navigating a world that knows about magic, a world he helped bring about. A reluctant leader, he does what he feels needs to be done to make the world better for magic and non-magic alike. Dealing with people who fear the unknown is only part of it; the larger challenge is dealing with those who are trying to use that fear to gain power for themselves.

A fitting close to one of my favorite series in a while.

Now that everyone knows about magic, society is doing exactly what you would expect: some are trying to find ways to militarize/weaponize it, some are terrified of it and view magical people as non-human, some accept it with open arms, and some are downright evil about it. Great adventure, interesting plot - can't wait to see what happens next. Reinforces that you should always do what's right, even if it is hard, and no matter what you decide, there will always be consequences so don't let that stop you from taking action.

I like that the ending was not perfect. There is no Utopian Earth, people are still people and there is still conflict to be resolved. But it was a good ending, a satisfying one.

10 stars out of five!! What a sublimely satisfying conclusion to a wonderfully entertaining and original series. The story is complex and loaded with kick-butt action, drama, loyalty and betrayal.
Thanks to Jim Hines for making reading so much more than just a pastime (I can think of a multitude of things to pull out of books and put to good use). Looking forward in great anticipation to this genius author's next offering.

Notes to new readers: THIS IS NOT A STANDALONE NOVEL - SPOIL YOURSELF AND START AT THE BEGINNING!!!!!! And then read the stories again just for the fun of it.
