This series has everything. Magic, romance, supernatural, and of course a bad villain.
The connection between all the characters was perfectly written. It wasn't a perfect match from the start and they all had to work at becoming a team.
I cannot wait to read the next one.

I was listening to this as an audiobook while at work and so it took me FOREVER to get through it. I enjoyed it. This book was definitely a romance but had more going on plot-wise. It made me yearn for a more fantasy, less romance book so I think I'll try something along those lines again. I've been lost in the sea of romance books for a while now.

Full Review: Morrigan's Cross found at Mom-Musings
Why did I choose this book? One of my friends has read this trilogy and she liked it. I really do enjoy the fantasy genre along with historical fiction and novels that have a bit of romance.
Morrigan's Cross fit the bill for fantasy (paranormal), romance (light and not highly intense of overwhelming to the storyline). Coupled with the recommendation from a friend, I was looking forward to this read. I expected much.
The story itself was intriguing enough as I wanted to know what will happen as the circle of six forms. How will they mold as a team? Who will shine? What trials and tribulations will they face? Who are these people?
Those were the areas that kept my interest, for a time.
The characters were okay. I was not drawn into any one character. I seemed to stay on the surface of my liking for the central characters of Glenna and Hoyt.
I just did not fully connect with any of the characters.
Overall, the story did seem a bit dull. The story did not fill me with anticipation.
Why did I keep reading? There was enough meat to the plot to keep my interest. There was enough action to whet my appetite. There was enough romance to have me wanting to know more.
There was enough in Morrigan's Cross to maintain my curiosity.
Above all, I want to know more of the characters that intrigued me the most - Cian and Blair.
Morrigan's Cross sparked enough interest that I want to read the second book in the Circle Trilogy. Oh yes, at the end there was a chapter preview for Dance of Gods – reading this preview helped to spark my interest even greater.
