Part 1 was a cute friends to lovers, their friendship is so cute and wholesome. Part 2 however.. was not it. I don't understand this book's title when more than half of the story is about
Spoiler his dead wife

I think it would be best if this was just about their friendship, as their chemistry just vanished in the 2nd part.

I love BCC books but this was disappointing. In beginning there isn't much of romance because her mom is sick then time jump happens and he has dead wife and two kids. Romance is weakest part of book, I liked Grey and Eleanor with kids and whole dealing with grief. Overall disappointing.

“Something should be said about the people who show up for the depressed souls. They never receive enough credit for being brave enough to stay.”

2.5 stars.

This was over the top depressing i don't even know what to say... but this reminded why I hate widower romance... I genuinely don't know what was worse, him calling her by his dead wife's name after sex or his daughter being the reason eleanor even came back... he didn't lift a finger? It was so disappointing.

Honestly, second choice aside, the romance was super unbelievable to me, the development was so confusing because on the one side it felt like it went from 0 to 100 in a couple chapters and from the other it felt like it happened off page, which didn't real help.

In conclusion, this wasn't really a favorite for me I'm afraid!
