The very lovely sequel to Mrs Bird, just as gloriously wholesome and... well, cheerful, as the first, despite the wartime setting and sometimes grim events.

Another charming, funny, witty and endearing book. About having the courage to fight for getting working mothers exactly what they need to be able to work and a lovely tale about friendships, love and marriage in time of war. This book will leave you smiling, laughing and crying. A brilliant book.

Another marvelous book by AJ Pearce! I thoroughly enjoyed Dear Mrs Bird and I’ve looked forward to this one coming out. I sure hope AJ is busy writing a third. I so wish I could be actual friends with Emmy and Bunty. They seem so real to me. And I’ve listened to both of these books on audio and Anna Popplewell does a wonderful job. Highly recommend!

I LOVED Dear Mrs. Bird and just needed the sequel. I knew it couldn't be as good, but wanted to give it a try. Ultimately, it was a bit predictable and bland. I wish the author had added one additional element to the story, some sort of mystery, a new character, or an interesting twist. Instead it unfolds exactly as you think it will. I miss the giggling and crying the first book caused. This was a miss for me.Too bad!
