Loved It

I just loved this story about Sunshine and Ace. That ex of hers though was working my last nerve entitled a$$. This is a first read by this author I I would read other books.

I originally DNF’d this but came back to it and did the audio and I’m so glad I did.

This was such a cute and fluffy book and the perfect palette cleanser!

Harlow and Ace was so adorable! ❤️ I was smiling and kicking my feet the entire book. The banter was so cute.

Black love written beautifully.

4.25/5 While I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I deducted 3/4 point because realistically, these 2 were too young to be moving so fast! LOL I’m sorry, I was once 24 & 26 and I know I was too immature to be getting married.

What can I say? It was a super cute romance novel. Have you that young romance that is not as mature as 40 but more mature than YA teenage love. I loved the plot and it moved at a great pace. For me I imagined the characters so vividly in my mind. Definitely one my favorite friends to lovers story so far.

"She’s a lot like the ocean, you know. Unpredictable and beautiful."

SLOW BURN is an understatement, but the story is WHIMISCAL, ROMATICAL (yea that’s my word), ALL THE CALS'. After turning down a proposal from her long-term boyfriend, Harlow wants to discover who she is and escape the shadows of just being a professional baseball player's girlfriend.

During her journey to self-discovery, she completes a yoga training program in Bali, lands a new job in Seattle, finds a new love for photography, and meets the love of her life. Our MMC Acyn is the sweetest asshole you could ever meet. At a young age he was ESTABLISHED honey. He had his own business, house, etc. He loved Harlow and protected her emotionally and physically. He cared about her personal growth and supported every life-changing decision she made.

Its empowering to read about a woman not settling and losing herself in a man. I guess I can appreciate this slow burn, because it allowed readers to witness a beautiful friendship to lovers bond grow. Besides nothing comes fast but a crash!

Acyn. The perfect book boyfriend. I loved watching Harlow grow into herself, find herself. This book has incredible gems throughout the entire book. It has a strong “new adult” feel and is definitely a slow burn.
