I do like a good star-crossed lovers romance, especially when it ends with a HEA. I loved the Gretna Green stuff.

Even though I tell myself that I don't read English historicals, I'll always read an Enoch. This one has a beta-ish hero who always always always offers the heroine a choice - something she doesn't get from anyone else.

This was so sweet! I loved how the MacTaggart family slowly came together and healed their family. I loved how hilariously brutish the brothers were. Niall especially was a sweetheart. His romance was adorable and I'm so glad I read this.

I picked up this books thanks to its punny title, and I enjoyed reading it! The main characters were interesting, and I felt that they were properly fleshed out to be distinctive, developed characters, Amelia being a quick-witted, sharp-tongued young woman and Niall being a wild highlander willing to make some compromises with his more mannered English roots. These characters suited each other well, and it was enjoyable to read their interactions and the effort they put in to make their relationship succeed. The plot didn't drag too much and was pretty straightforward, but there were a couple twists and turns I hadn't expected. Overall, it was a fun read!

I have to say that I really enjoyed the part where Amelia calls out Niall for only declaring his love when the main obstacle, his brother's courtship of Amelia, is already gone. I liked that he had to pursue her under his own clear intentions rather than under the guise of his brother's, partly because I wanted and think the book needed more interactions between Amelia and Niall at that point in the story.audiobooks_sweettea's review against another edition

I love me some good regency and highlander romances! I love the time period. Fascinated by it, really. If I could be born in any era, it would be the regency era and live in either Highland Ireland or Regency England during that period. I mean seriously. The men of that time are to literally die for. I love their descriptions, I love their accents coming off the pages of the books, I’m just simply a regency lover. No doubt about it.
Sitting down to read Enoch’s first book in her Wild Wicked Highlanders series was an absolute joy. Enoch created a wonderful plot line and filled it with beautifully chiseled characters. She has a master talent for making them come to life, that’s for sure! Whewee! Those darling Scottish men…..yes please!
Niall and Amelia-Rose are wonderful characters. I loved seeing them together. Their friendship blossomed, and their love was just right. I loved seeing it develop and felt every spark of passion between them as if I was in Amelia-Rose’s shoes and Niall was my guy. Loved that feeling!
Enoch has definitely hit a home run with this 4 star book, in my opinion. It’s got the perfect blend of sass, romance, captivating characters and room for so much more with the next books in the series. These Scotsmen and their ladies have definitely stolen my heart for the long haul and I can’t wait for the next one.

This book is amazing and was a really pleasant reading experience.
It's entertaining, fun to read and you're hooked till the last page.
The start is wonderful, so full of humour and so tongue in cheek, it made me love this book since the first pages.
I appreciated the female characters, so strong willed and anti conformist, and I love the evolution of Amelia Rose, the train of thought that made her understand what she really wanted.
I think I could have a new book boyfriend in Niall, another Highlander that could be defined the king of men.
The entire cast of characters is well written and fleshed out, you cannot help rooting for the brothers and the young couple in love.
I loved the romance as much as I liked the family, friendship and growing-up themes.
I look forward to reading the next installment in this series and will surely read other books by Ms Enoch.
Highly recommended!
Many thanks to St. Martin's Press and Netgalley for this ARC. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book, all opinions are mine.

Beautiful
Oh be still my heart. What a lovely story. I thought the premise was intruiging, but that was until I started and met Niall. (and Coll and Aden, but honestly, just Niall) This was a delightful read and I couldn't stop reading. I have things to do, and yet, I sat and devoured this book in one go. Niall's courtship and his care for his "Adae" melted my heart. Amelia-Rose was just excellent, and they went together perfectly. Loved the family dynamics, and I can't wait to see how it works out for Coll and Aden, and I really want to see their mom (Francesca) have her own happily ever after too. Wee bit of adult content, but very wee.

Omgoodness I loved, loved, loved this one. The characters and overall situation for the series were refreshingly unique and there was so much humor sprinkled throughout.
I received this book as an e-ARC through Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

For a romance novel, instalove is always a hard trope to handle. And while our hero and heroine don't fall in love instantly, the whole book takes place in a span of less than a month. So they meet, fall in love, and then marry in the span of about 3 weeks. Not very believable sadly and that took at least a star off of my rating. But on the other hand I really liked the premise of this story. It's different and interesting and I enjoyed reading about the 3 MacTaggert brothers (although I liked Aden and Coll more than I liked the hero Niall, and I'm greatly looking forward to reading their books). But Niall was also quite delicious- a proud man, smart, devious, determined, and so considerate. This book was also a cut above most Historical Romance novels in having a down to earth, smart female protagonist who didn't jump to weird conclusions or mope around (Amelia-Rose really was a delight. It doesn't happen often that I like the heroine better than the hero in a romance book but Amelia-Rose was wonderful and I couldn't help but root for her). And as I already said, the story is unique for historical romance, falling outside the typical setup which is a plus.
So, while It's Getting Scot in Here is not one of Ms. Enoch's best books, it's still very much enjoyable (at least in my opinion). I was all-in with these wacky people and their shenanigans. If I had to complain about something it's that development of emotions progressed too quickly for my taste. But overall it's a sweet story, with the likeable characters (main and secondary) and it makes for a cute and quick read. Recommended.
