Intressant, bitvis lite seg. Går inte att förstå vad de gick igenom/sätta sig in i hur hemskt det måste ha varit.

Nando Parrado’s story is incredible. The drive those men had to survive in the Andes with little hope of rescue is crazy!

“nando, i want you to remember, even in this place, our lives have meaning. our suffering is not for nothing. even if we are trapped here forever, we can love our families, and god, and each other as long as we live. even in this place, are lives are worth living.”

mind boggling. puts your entire life into perspective

Incredible book, made me sob more than once. The way he tells this story about a bunch of young men going through such a harrowing ordeal and manages to put so much emphasis on the love, tenderness, honesty, and community between them is so so beautiful. The part about setting the record straight on Roy Harley and Nando’s constant love for his dad made me bawl. Everyone who read Alive should read this too

I read this book right after it was released. There was a period of time when I was slightly obsessed with this story. The book Alive is amazing...I might enjoy it slightly more.

This book was incredible. I loved it. Not only was the story amazing, but the emotional and psychological insights of the main character were unforgettable. His personal viewpoint was gripping and transported you not only to where the story takes place, but to the emotional heart of it. I don't read the same book twice very often, but this is one that I would definitely pick up again in the future. There are just so many valuable thoughts on life and our existence as human beings in general.

Excellent retelling of the Andes crash of Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 written by one of the survivors. A gripping story, arguably the best part of the narrative is the end, where he divulges what he thinks are the life lessons to be learned.

A story many people have heard but few have journeyed with the men. This book will help you do just that.

I had to stop myself from flipping ahead in this book. It was hard to put down. A satisfying ending.
