Wow WOW that ending. I just... wow. This world just sucks me back in like it is nothing. The political intrigue that is pushed aside for violence and actually letting the characters cause so much death? Wonderful.
Can't wait to see how this will end.

The ending…??!?! Are you kidding me! I definitely didn’t expect Quinn to die . It made everything so much more dramatic. Luckily, Risk has our back and is fixing it as we speak. Way to go, Risk!
This part of the Dark Maji series had some plot twists that were great and gave more depth to the story, like with Lazarus and Nero. I have so many questions about them being brothers! Does Nero have the same dark magic? Why do they hate each other? What happened???
The only downside for me was the explicitly described sexual scenes. To me, they just felt like filler scenes and weren’t necessary to understand anything in the story. The development of Lazarus and Quinn’s relationship was described specifically enough without these scenes. For instance, the scene where Quinn explains that there are better bonds than marriage was so much stronger.
Graphic: Sexual content

Just when you think Quinn can't push the boundaries any further she has to prove you wrong. Quinn is just as cruel as evil and amazing as ever. You also get to know Risk better in the one and she has some surprises of her own. Full of action, quick wit, and heat.

This book absolutely did not disappoint. On par with what I've seen so far in the other books it was great. Continued with great development of the overall plots the characters development both main and side. I love that it was a bit of a time jump so we really got to see how Lazarus is ruling as king and we got to see that both with and without Quinn by his side. Just overall a good read and I am excited to read the last book especially considering how this book ended.
