Multiple mysteries for the price of one. Never disappointed reading a Phryne Fisher mystery.

I was really looking forward to this book. Really looking forward to it because it has been so long since a Phryne book had come out.

I liked that the kids had a more active role in the book and worked on solving their own mystery. I know it is set in the twenties and Phryne is tolerant but the overall tone towards those non white mentioned in the books is quite a turn off.

Extra stars for the women's underground railroad where they were saving themselves and getting out of abusive marriages. The mystery was surprising and it caught me off guard so it was fun solving that.

I really enjoyed two different mysteries. It was nice to see Tinker and the girls handle one on their own while Phryne was on her own adventure.

Phryne Fisher returns to dazzle us again in another adventure. While Phryne is away solving murders at a spa with Dot, her kids and Hugh have a mysterious death to figure out at home. It’s a fun romp as always! Thanks #netgalley for the advanced copy.
