I didn't find as much humor in this as I thought I should. I don't know if it is because I never saw the TV show or that I'm not British. I didn't like how it abruptly ended without a resolution. I'm sure that is to get you to read the sequel but I don't know that I care enough to do so.

Audiobook version. A reread from... at least ten years ago, I think. While I generally find it quite cringey to listen to Chris Barrie doing all the voices for extended periods of time, the chapters of this audiobook are only about six minutes long so I managed to deal with it (also the Cat doesn't have too much dialogue...) I enjoyed this a lot. I'd forgotten a lot of the BTL stuff (Juanita Chicata... lol what a "Brazilian" name wow). I knew the books were more depressing than the series, but this was about 1000 times more depressing than I remembered as well. But interesting!

When Lester gets drunk he ends up on the moon with one goal. Get home by one of two ways.
1. Get smashed and end back up on earth (problem is the booze on the moon is way to expensive)
2. Spend years of your life on a mining ship, and eventually end up on earth thru that
Sadly he picks number two.
Red Dwarf is amazingly funny. This is the first book I laughed out loud to. This has made me want to read more comedy books. Next up on the chopping block is Christopher Moore, but these writers worked hard to make a great book about slowly becoming a better person without you noticing, dealing with everyone you know being dead, and if you like a book with a condom joke in the first chapter... Worth your time. Please purchase now. Don't think just do. Book make you go haha.
