I love Nina's books as they are realistic characters and stories, this second book in the Hopeless Romantics series and it's about Henry and Charlotte. A friends to lovers romance, where friends reunite after years. This story will take you on a journey to the town of Hope Lake, it's a sweet charming an joyful story that will make you laugh and wrench your heart, beautifully written that will have you reading until the end. Henry will become your next book boyfriend, this is simply a must read book, where you get all the romance you love with the amazing story to support it. Can't wait for the next book.

ARC received for an honest review

Now, if you have read my review, you know I had my couple of issues with the first book in this series, but still liked the book.

I am happy to say that those issues are gone with Meet Me On Love Lane, and I liked this book more than the first.

This is a story of coming home, falling back in love with the place you thought you hated - and falling in love with the boy you left behind.

I adored Charlotte and Henry and the friends that Charlotte left behind. My heart hurt for her as she realised all she had missed because he mum had tainted the town for her.

I did laugh at the way Charlotte and Henry reconnected - you will too.

However, I did feel that the inclusion of Dr Max as a love interest for Charlotte was superfluous. I did not find that it added anything to the story, trying to create a love triangle between our lovelies and him. Nope, not at all necessary.

I adored the small town vibe of the story. I loved the secondary characters, particularly dad and grandma. Oh, and I can. not. wait for her best friend Parker's story!

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book, and much more than the first in the series (not that I didn't like that one though). I really liked watching Charlotte get to know her old friends, and learn what the town of Hope Lake was really like.

I was really intrigued to find out who the boy from the prologue was, and I had a few suspicions which were eventually proven right. And what may seem to be a love triangle on the outside, really turns out to be something else than that. I was very curious to learn about Charlottes past, and why her mother had done and said all these things.

Charlotte's friends were great (we did meet Emma, Nick and Henry in the previous book), and I truly loved her grandmother Gigi. What a larrikin! This was a wonderful tale of a young woman trying to find herself and her place in the world, and I enjoyed every second of this book. I also think we have been given a glimpse into who the next couple may be, and I cannot wait. Definitely recommend.

This novel was if not as good but maybe even better than the first. However, if you haven't read the first, On the Corner of Love and Hate, it can be read as a standalone. You'll get a better understanding of the characters if you read the first in the series.

The story was extremely heartwarming and just such a cute small-town romance. Henry was my favorite part about this book and I loved being able to connect with him as a character. His character was good in the first book and I was so happy to see he got his own book, he really deserved it! Even though this was a romance about Henry and Charlotte, the other main character, it was so much more than that.

This story is very emotional because Charlotte can't remember much from her childhood. It was extremely relatable that she blocked out things because it's truly like your mind goes on flight or fight mode. She had traumatizing things happen and she blocked them out to the point where she can't remember important things like who Henry even was to her. This book was great just because there were multiple things going on.

This was a rediscovery of who Charlotte was and how she developed throughout the years. You could see her struggles as well as her triumph. The way that she advanced throughout this book was just a testament to Nina Bocci's writing style. She was able to write about multiple things at once and it all made sense. It was a beautiful story of finding and falling in love with yourself.

Overall, Nina Bocci needs to continue writing. Her books are beautifully written and can easily speak to her readers. I loved how heartwarming this book was and I can't wait for the next installment.

Honestly, I really enjoyed this novel! While it is the second in a series, it stood well completely on its own so I did not feel like a missed anything by not reading the first book. That being said I 100% want to go back now and read One the Corner of Love and Hate.

What kept me reading this novel was watching Charlotte discover her love for her hometown and reconnecting with friends and family after many years apart. It’s clear that Charlotte had a difficult childhood but I loved seeing how she regained her confidence and attempted to embrace life wholeheartedly. There’s something so wonderful about watching a female character believing in herself and accepting the love and happiness she deserves. Plus many of the other female characters are hysterical, where’s GiGi I need that grandma in my life!

My only draw back with this book is that the synopsis sets up a love triangle that never fully develops in the book so I went into it with certain expectations that weren’t met. Additionally, this is definitely a slow burn romance, so if that’s not your thing, know that going in. However, as mentioned above I was more interested in seeing how Charlotte figured out her life regardless of whether that included a romance.

I would definitely recommend this quick contemporary romance read!

This romantic comedy is a sweet story of self-discovery and finding love when Charlotte Bishop returns to her hometown of Hope Lake which she left at age 10. She has many memories of her life here before her divorced mother took her away from her father and grandmother. She also has memories that have been taken away, including those of her best friend Henry.

Charlotte soon finds that Hope Lake has a lot to offer - a great job opportunity, and two amazing men who have fallen for her. Will this be enough to keep Charlotte in Hope Lake?

I read this book, the second in the Hopeless Romantics series, as a standalone and did not feel as though I was missing anything by not reading the first book. I found the book to be engaging, full of interesting characters, and enjoyable.

Sweet story in an adorably Hallmark setting. The grammatical errors and missing plot details gave the twitches, but it was an easy, light romance.
