I really enjoyed reading this book.

This book is much more action packed than the first. Keeps you engaged the entire time. I always enjoy reading each adventure that these 4 come upon.

I had a fun time reading more about the quartet at Winding Circle. It's wild how much the defense of the entire community rests on four children, and how quickly the books follow one another. But I love the little interactions between them, especially between Tris and Briar in this book.

I really enjoyed this book, especially as a reread. It's a great second book, delving deeper into the characters and the world and dealing well with the consequences of the four young mages spinning their magic together at the end of Sandry's Book. We jump right into the plot with this book, and I particularly enjoy Tris's growth as she rediscovers family, loses that family, does battle for her home, and learns the value of control over her magic and her emotions. Great read. Can't wait to pick up Daja's Book next.

Not long after the earthquake that brought the four of them together, Sandry, Tris, Daja, and Briar find themselves involved in another dangerous situation.  While they continue to learn about their magic, they now have to deal with a massive pirate fleet seeking to invade the Winding Circle with magic and a powerful new weapon.  Despite the temple's own powerful defenses, it looks like it'll be a battle of attrition if something isn't done to swing things in the temple's favor.

Tris' Book is the second book in the Circle of Magic series, and it really ups the stakes from the last one.  Whereas Sandry's Book mainly focused on the four children as they find a place where they belong and learn about their magic, this one had an actual villain to deal with.  The main characters are still learning their magic, but that winds up having to take a backseat due to the events in the story.

I highly recommend these books to anyone who wants to read a good fantasy story.

I love this series so much. Tris is a persnickety grumpy soul and I feel that to the depths of me.

This was better than the first one but I still wasn’t in love with it. The characters and writing are great but the magic system is a bit convoluted still and I’m not sure about the plot. We’ll see how this quartet develops further

Couldn’t put this down! This series just gets better and better as it goes! Trisana Chandler is really the one to beat!
