This was a nice ending to the trilogy! It was very satisfying and I loved all the scenes with Caspian and Abbey! I'm sad that it's over.

After reading this book for the second time, I'm kind of seeing it to be cringe-worthy. Everything within the story is a cliché or makes me cringe. It also feels very unrealistic. Who willingly gives up everything they've known for a ghost? It's all a bit confusing to me. The book is very easy to read though, and something kept me interested which is why I still gave it three stars.

The series tells the story of Caspian and how he finds his other half in Abbey. Caspian is a Shade. Abbey is a human girl. Shades have a person that will “complete” them. The Revenants are the people who help the Shades complete this process. In this last book of the series, it tells of the difficult decisions that Abbey has to make and the struggles that she goes through. She has to decide what is important to her and what is worth risking everything for.

The Revenants – Kame, Sophie, Uri, and Cacey – came to help Abbey die and complete Caspian. There is another Revenant, Victor, who is everywhere that Abbey goes and wants to keep her alive. Abbey thinks this is odd considering he recently attacked her and is stalking her. Caspian, Abbey and the Revenants try to protect her from Victor and discover what his motive for keeping Abbey alive is.

I Like:
*The ending of this series. I cannot say what that is (or won’t rather).
*Nikolas and Katy and their whole story. I won’t go into specifics here, but it is good to read about them in this series. I love how Verday ties in literary references in with the story.
*I also like way you can see the different personalities in the Revenants more clearly. You really get to see who they are.
*Caspian has a nickname for Abbey – Astrid, which means star. This is a romantic nickname for the couple.
*Abbey stays true to who she is. She continues with her perfume making throughout the whole series no matter what happens to her.

I Did Not Like:
*I had to go back and re-read the ending of The Haunted to know what was going on at the beginning of this book because it had been so long in between the books in the series. It did not do a really good job of reviewing what was going on. It told you what was happening, but not WHY it was happening.

I spent MONTHS waiting for this book to come out, and while i do love it, it has flaws.
The entire series led up to Abbey dying to complete Caspian, and learning about how creepy Vincent is.
I love Vincent though, he's the best antagonist ever!!! I love this trilogy and would like to see a spin off of Caspian before he died

It was pretty good. Kind of a sad ending. It does kind of drag at a few points, but never enough to give up on. Throughout the novel there's lots of talk about figuring out this huge mystery, and it does get quite frustrating because we're forced to be as oblivious as Abbey. May not be the best in the series, but it does answer everything, and leaves the reader thinking. It was a great way to end the series, even if it was a bit sad.

What is up with that ending!!

I've been a fan of this series and I really enjoyed the last book, The Hidden. It was fun and had just as much mystery and ghosts and action as the last, if not more.

The Hidden starts off right where The Haunted left off. It's been a while since I read The Haunted, and there's a lot I couldn't remember. But, I soon got into the rhythm of things.

Abby and Caspian's relationship was....corny. I'm not going to lie. But it was cute. I will admit, Caspian's clingyness got a bit annoying. It got better the second half, though.

Abby bothered me a lot more in this than in past books. Not a ton, but she was still annoying.

The ending.... wow. i'm still not sure how I feel about it. I'm not happy with it, but I'm not unhappy either, I suppose.

This wasn't my favorite book in the series, but I still enjoyed it.
