YES!
Jacob Chance debut book is finally here!
I devoured this book. And yes as the title of the book says...
I totally Quaked when I met Kyle in this book. Talk about a hunk of an alpha man I wish was real that I could get my hands on.
Love his filthy thoughts, mouth, actions. He has it all in what we like in our book boyfriends.
And Janny, she totally is the college girl who catches his attention and makes Kyle nuts with desire that he can't control.
Great story line, had some twists thrown in the mix. I really enjoyed how the author developed his characters and showed us how their relationship grows.
Yes this book has sex, dirty talk that had my cherries blushing, drama and there is a cliffy ending that will make you go stalk author Jacob Chance even more than you already were to find out what happens next with Kyle & Janny.
I'm not going to spoil anything but say,
Go 1 click because you don't want to miss out!

Quick easy read. Slow beginning but the end was interesting. I didn't feel much of a connection between Janny and Kyle. It was a decent book. I enjoy the author's other books more.

For a debut novel this author knows how to capture your attention right at the start. That early glimpses of what to expect had totally caught me off guard. I was especially torn on chapter one on what was happening but at the same time it was getting intensely hot!
This is a story of a private investigator, Kyle McKenzie. Like many of the characters' backgrounds that we read about we usually find that they have experienced some kind of past that tends to hold them back for more; however, as you learn about Kyle's story you cannot help but feel for him, worry for him, and hope positive things for him. He was living a comfortable and easy life for himself until he becomes infatuated with a gorgeous cerulean blue eyed blonde, Janny Moore that he seems to not be able to stay away from.
Although the timeline on some things felt somewhat rush and the age gap being another questionable factor for me; the way it was written surprisingly worked well as the story progressed. Kyle and Janny will suck you in each of their pasts and present lives entailing details that were out of their control, lust filled with steamy encounters, along with secret and lies which more than made up for my qualms. Throw in that cliffy ending that will have you itching for more and needing to know what will happen next because that one had me hurting. Hopefully we get answers sooner rather than later. Hint. Hint. ;)

I fell for Kyle. He is broken, damaged, putting one foot in front of the other. He has a creepy vibe at times, but not in the "I'm going to hurt you if you don't do what I want" He is an aggressive lover. He is fiercely protective. I am loving this series...it does end on a heart wrenching cliffhanger, but Quiver is available to start immediately so it isn't too bad.

I love insta-love.
This is a great romance. I also want to point out that the romance is the main plot, not secondary so of course everything revolves around the couple more so than anything else.
I absolutely loved Kyle. He's the perfect mix of overbearing alpha and sweet. Janny is of course sweet and sensual - the perfect contrast to Kyle's brooding personality.
Their relationship started out unconventionally but fate has an interesting way of making things work out.

I had heard really good things about this new male author and was really excited to finally get my hands on Quake. Now I’ll confess, I read this a while ago but spaced out reviewing it in the chaos that surrounded getting my blog up and running. Now with book two out, I took the time to re-read it before delving into Quiver. And it was just as good the second time around.
Kyle’s an ex-cop turned private investigator after a near fatal shooting benched him to the sidelines. While on a job for a client, he catches sight of a beautiful blonde. Intrigued at first glance, he can’t stop watching her. After some subtle questioning he finds out it’s the client’s sister-in-law.
Now, I wasn’t completely sold on this book. The fact that he watched her through the cameras in the beginning and what he did when he watched her bugged me. I didn’t find it hot at all. It wasn’t an auspicious beginning. Due to this, I remained skeptical for the part of the book. That being said, eventually Kyle won me over and I began rooting for him and Janny to make it.
I found the book to be well-written. Chance is descriptive, giving you a glimpse into the lives of his characters in a way that makes them seem touchable and relatable. The story flows easily, it kept me engaged and entertained. I love dirty talking alpha males and Kyle definitely is one. And the sex scenes are definitely over the top hot. Janny is super sweet and sassy, very easy to fall in love with. It’s easy to see why an alpha male would go all protective and possessive over her.
Definitely a book I’ll recommend to others.

Kyle is PI hired by Janny's sister in law in investigate her husband. When Kyle sees Janny during his investigation he is drawn to her and he wants to know more about her and get to know her. Once he meets in he can't bring himself to stay away from her even though his secrets could shatter her.
This duet was an okay read. I felt like it was trying too hard on all fronts. Trying too hard to be sexy, romantic, suspenseful, just all of it was too much. Just too much and I didn't get enough of the feels.

This was pretty good, and I really loved the characters. I just hate that Kyle pushed Janny away when he was working through his medical issue. Not a fan of cliffhangers though, and what a cliffhanger it was! However, I was definitely interested in the follow up with these characters and couldn't wait to read next story, Quiver. By the way, this cover is smoking hot!
