There was a LOT going on in this part of the trilogy. I have to say- ALL the courtroom stuff was wrong, but we aren’t expecting the writers of Law and Order, right? Extra credit for the steamy pets- those were well written, but the constant back and forth got tiring 70% in. Am hoping the final book wraps all this up clearly.

I do like this series but it's not as good as the other one. This one felt a little slow. Not a ton happened. We did get quite a lot of character development which I like! I think scythe needs to come back. I miss him.

The highlight of this book was the spice. This author is amazing with her spicy scene. Though May and Heath having sex in the prison, while hot, was a little gross. Like, that doesn't seem sanitary.

I'm glad Roe and Liam are all on board and sharing May. I love that for them.

The twist at the end with Jayla possibly having an affair with her friends husband was one heck of a way to end a book.

The spice is so good, and I loved getting to know the characters more and getting their stories. This booked added some more drama and plot twists which was appreciated.
Would’ve been 4.5/5 stars but I couldn’t get past some of the unrealistic timelines (a whole trial in a day??). It’s super nit picky and doesn’t really matter for the story overall - but it instantly took me out of the book world.
Would still highly recommend  this book & series to others! Excited to see how it ends!
