The Lords of the Underworld has been an amazing series so far, nine books in. This book, The Darkest Seduction, you cannot pick up without reading the previous in the series. This is not just because all other eight stories are wonderful and you don’t want to miss them, but the hero and heroine in this story, Paris and Sienna, had their love story introduced so many books ago (I think three, but someone can correct me). The LotU series has such an intricately woven plot that they cannot be read alone without missing something. Paris and Sienna’s story has been so long coming that it was almost bittersweet when they had their Happily Ever After. There isn’t much I can write besides I Loved This Book because the plot is too big to pull a snapshot out. If you’re a Gena Showalter fan you will not be disappointed by this installment in LotU plus there’s a great opening for new, strong, heroes in the next book. Can’t wait to see what Ms. Showalter has next!

Even though it has taken me over a month to finish THE DARKEST SEDUCTION, please do not take this as a reason not to read the book yourself. In truth, I wanted--desperately--to devour the book in one sitting, but having an infant and two older children to tend to restricts my reading time.
Paris. Oh, Paris. Beautiful and tortured Paris. This, THIS was the HEA he deserves. Sienna was the heroine--and, yes, she IS a heroine--he so richly and rightly deserves.
The intimate scenes are as hot as a reader of the LOTU series would expect from Paris, but they are also unexpectedly tender and honest. Their love story is well plotted, well written, and wrapped up in such a way that we KNOW they will not become mere background characters in future LOTU installments.
In THE DARKEST SEDUCTION, the reader is also reacquainted with the other Lords and their ladies, something I felt had been a little lacking in the last few books due to multiple story arcs. However, Ms. Showalter's characters continue to surprise (wow, didn't know William knew about THAT stuff!), excite (hellllooo, Zacharel!), and confound you (really, Galen? Really?), and you'll happily go along for the emotional roller coaster ride.
If you haven't read Paris' long awaited book, do yourself a favor and grab a copy. You'll be happy you did. ;)

Started slow, ended with a bang! A new series will branch off from this series and I am excited to read about Zachary and the other bad boy angels. Sienna and Paris ended up being a good couple and everyone is on board with her as the new "Cronus." This book had it all love, excitement, war and it painted the female lead in a positive light. Good book!

i swear i thought the covers were getting better but it's worse for this book but like i didn't really like this book that much be the main guy became all angsty and shit and wasn't a fan of it and yeah he became his old self again at the end but that's sm reading to get to. i liked the side stories more in this book too like the girl from the first book finally gave birth and then we see the relationship of the demon girl and the fake angel guy develop and ugh i can't wait to get to their book but the author didn't make it a full book she made it a novella but whatevs. also there's a new character that's gonna have their own novella and I liked her a lot but i wish i knew the damn name of her
love interest bc throughout the whole book he was
referred to as a nickname that isn’t even his name anyways the ending of this book surprised me bc i thought it was gonna happen at the end of the series but no it happened when there's like 3 or more characters left in the series like yeah there's still problems and conflict but like a big ass conflict was just resolved in this book like it was being built up since the beginning and i thought it was finally happen in the last book but no and i'm still surprised and not over it like huh. they just killed the big boss and eliminated their enemies how tf is the series gonna go now. the next book idk whether imma like bc the guy he's alright like he's not my favorite and there wasn't much told about him but i hope its better than this one it was just not what i wanted and i feel like the series is going down rn but maybe it'll go back up. there's another series related to this one about the angels but i don't really care about those characters so i'm not gonna read it but if i'm in a slump i'll probably read it. anyways giving this a 7/10
maybe 7.5 if i'm being nice just like eh not as good as the previous books i felt like it was below standards especially since i feel like this book would be anticipated a lot bc this character has a big part in the previous books.

Paris' story did not disappoint!! The ending hit me out of left field never saw it coming! I am also stoked that Gena is writing a spin off with Zacharal, he is one of my favorites. :)

I'm pretty much only waiting for Torin's book and I'm done with this series. I did not like Paris at all and could give a crap about Sienna. A few major plot points were cleared up for the series a a whole but overall very blah.

I slogged through the first Showalter but couldn't make myself read past page 57 of this one. She cannot write.

This was my least favorite of all the Lords of the Underworld books. Considering all the anguish Paris has suffered in all the other books his story came across as a little to easy, too scripted and a bit of a letdown. The character development of Sienne could have been much better as well. At the end of the book I still felt like she was more of a side character than a main character. It was a decent read but not what I have come to expect from Gena Showalter.
