i liked it but i only gave it 3 stars for the massive sex scenes. There were way too many and I was getting bored of just reading them. But then again its Paris's book. Aeron's book is still my favorite.

Paris and Sienna finally, finally are able to find each other. After lots of trouble, of course. And then they also have trouble staying together. I thought they wouldn't be together in the end. A nice twist in the middle. I liked it.

Wow, lots of sex! I don't know why I expected much else, this book is about the Lord of Promiscuity! Things keep getting zanier in the Lords of the Underworld world and I don't think I was in the mood for zany this time around......

Despite its flaws (bloat, seriously aggravating new minor characters, yada, yada, yada), this remains one of my favorite LotU books. Paris and Sienna really work for me as a couple. I'm happy to see them get their HEA. More than that, they get a fresh start and a chance to heal. Good stuff. Yeah, Paris's arc dragged on years longer than it should have, but, for me, this was a satisfying ending.
Re-read in 2020, and revised from 4 stars down to 3. Its flaws bother me a lot more now that I have some distance from the series.

So many things were happening in this story, I almost got a whiplash reading! Sienna is dead, but Paris finally found a way to see and touch her again, which leads to some very interesting moments between the two of them, and of course Paris' demon Sex.
The Lorsd had to fight different factions this time, the Hunters, of course, Cronus, the Unspoken, some demons in hell, and even others showed up for fights. In the end, there was an epic showdown that blew my mind, and I was completely surprised with the outcome.
Paris showed a new side to himself that I really, really liked.

The Darkest Seduction
3.5 Stars
Paris, the keeper of Promiscuity, is cursed with the need to bed a new person every night or suffer the consequences. Yet, the only woman he has ever truly wanted, Sienna Blackstone, is out of his reach. Now, however, Sienna has become the new keeper of Wrath, and she and Paris may finally attain the love and peace they have always craved. That is unless the ongoing feud between the Gods tears them apart for good.
It has been 5 years since I last read an LOTU book. This prolonged break may have been out of concern that Paris and Sienna's story would not live up to expectations. While the story is entertaining overall with some compelling developments in the ongoing story arc, it is also overly long (at 500 pages), and the repetitive and excessive descriptions of Paris and Sienna's guilt and angst undermines the romance.
Paris and Sienna's relationship has been building toward an exciting climax for 9 books. Unfortunately, the result is rather weak as they both come across as whiny and annoying. It still remains unclear what it is about Sienna that attracts Paris to the extent that she is him mate, i.e., the only woman with whom he can have sex more than once.
It is the secondary storylines the really make this a worthwhile read with updates on several of the Lords including Maddox, Kane, Torin and Galen as well as the introduction of several new characters including the Keeper of Narcissism (who, unfortunately, has the most ridiculous dialogue). There is also closure on the Cronus and Rhea front as the prophecies come to the fore.
In sum, Showalter concludes several threads in this book and it certainly feels that way. She also opens up new directions for the series, and its spin-off Angels of the Dark. Kane's book is next and even though the reviews have been quite ho-hum, I'm willing to give it a chance.

I refuse to lie about this one, but I expected Paris to be so different than he was. I expected different sex for starters. I understand all his demon needs is for him to ejaculate, and it doesn't care who, or what (although there's no mentions of anything other than human bodies - besides the Gargoyles trying to hump him with their stony bodies) as long as he gets his release. In reality, Paris isn't some sex fiend - besides his constant dirty talking and his demons 'chocolate and champagne' scent 'Sex' emits whenever he wants some - and only wishes to have a monogamist relationship, something his demon will not let him do, until Sienna Blackstone.
So Sienna is dead, but her soul has been bonded by Cronus, to Aeron's demon of Wrath. No one can see her, and she's locked in a castle in some mystical land, basically waiting for her prince to come and rescue her. That is, until Paris makes it his mission to find her, and is told how to see and feel the dead. To tattoo their ashes into yourself (fingertips, tongue, eyes - basically wherever he wants to feel her) and hey presto! He can now see Sienna!
From then on, he makes it his mission to then teach her how to protect herself for when he leaves her after he helps her escape her eternal prison, and meanwhile, she's on a mission to save her sister, believing the ever-the-asshole Cronus and looking gullible as shit in the process. But, of course she is new to this, so I won't judge her TOO harshly on her stupidity of trusting that asshat who practically entrapped her with a demon for the rest of her life.
Long story short, Ashlyn goes into labour when Galen steals her in order to get back Legion, and has her beautiful little demon babies with Williams (he's becoming very damn useful lately) help. We meet Hades (William and Lucifer's father), Fox (Distrust) and Viola (Narcissism). Kane is still in hell, struggling against minions of his demon, Disaster - who we find had such a jealous streak, he killed all his male minions so he had hundreds of females to himself- who want his 'baby juice' to help reproduce. In our moments with Kane, we see a soul who is neglected due to his demon. Unable to be in a room without things breaking and being a liability to the lords and their women, he is basically shunned, not allowed to fight with his warrior brothers, or sent when its too dangerous for them, to do on his own. His story is next, so I'll leave his story there, and continue on.
Torin gets the All-Key from Cronus, and as Cronus shows Sienna, one of his three futures comes true. Future one, his beheading. Future two, Galen kills Paris. Future three, Galen and Sienna stand before Cronus with his Lords behind him.
This story broke my heart a few times. Paris is so trusting. So in love with a girl he barely knows. He's come so far to find her. And in the end, she's the best thing for the Lords. I felt so bad when the lords held that "intervention" for Paris, even when they knew she was real.... It was selfish of them to try push him as far as they did. Anyway. Enough spoilers, It was good. Well worth the read. It only took me so long due to read it due to being holidays, or I would have consumed it whole!

Wow! So much has happened in this book that I am still reeling.
Paris finally finds his Sienna, they have to work out all the things standing between them, Sienna has to choose a side, we meet new characters, like the hilariously awesome Viola, we find out new things about characters we already loved, like William, the fight between Cronus and Rhea and the Hunters and the Lords reaches a turning point and so much more.
Fans of the series simply cannot not read The Darkest Seduction. Believe me. You're going to miss a lot of important, exciting things if you don't read this.
I fell completely in love with Paris this time around!
He's just perfect and I don't even care he was such a man-whore. Believe me or not, that only makes him hotter to me.
And you know what's really, really hot? The fact that
Spoiler
Strider and Paris were together. Together, as in "bodies entwined, straining, working together to the same end - the demolishing heat of ecstasy".Now, that's a vivid imagery my mind conjured! LMAO

Holy mother! I just can't get that imagine out of my head. And I don't want to. xD
Gena, please, please, please, can we have a gay couple in the series?
