I loved this book until the third act breakup. I knew it was coming and I’m still annoyed. I also felt it left a lot unanswered. Either way I enjoyed it!

A fun, steamy, dual POV football romance perfect for fans of Piper Rayne. I liked this on audio narrated by fav Teddy Hamilton and Lucy Rivers. The plot was a bit unique in that Ava falls for Matthew, her sister's ex (the pro football player her sister cheated on and dumped before marrying). Ava is also the PR person for Matthews new team which causes a bit of a forbidden romance situation. Throw in her sister's new wedding and there was lots of family drama but it had a sweet HEA and overall I definitely enjoyed it.

Coming out of retirement brings Matthew to a new football team and a to a new town, but what he was not expecting was to be working with Ava, the sister of high college love and fiance. The same sister of the one woman who cheated on him and walked away. Ava has tried to separate herself from her family, the same ones who have criticized the choices she has made and always treated her like a life form lower than her sister. When Ava reunites with Matthew and sparks instantly fly can the two really have a relationship with all of the baggage they both have in their past? Or will her family dynamics be the one thing they both cannot overcome? With lovable characters and a storyline that had me hooked from the opening pages this was a wonderful read that I highly recommend.

This book was good, I just wasn’t a fan of the trope: ex bf of sister. So it felt hard for me to root for them. Especially since Ava was so insecure with her family it seemed like she should be more concerned that he wasn’t comparing her to her sister?
