I felt like I was being gaslit by Avery the whole time. She is not intelligent and just seems like she wants attention. I do not blame her for kyle’s actions but how could she just keep ignoring every red flag?!? And I dont get how she could call Paige Evil when she was the most normal person in the whole damn book? I felt like there were a lot of inconsistencies in the beginning and that many scenes didnt feel fully fleshed out throughout the story. I cannot say I liked or disliked this book, but it was for sure entertaining and a quick read.
Least likeable characters in this series so far… i did not care about Grace or Luther at all. They had no actual chemistry outside of their psych talents (and sex) it felt like…

Just when you think you’ve got it solved, scratch it out and realize youve got it all wrong. This was so well written! I tried to come to my own conclusions and making my own suspect list alongside Pips and I still got the ending wrong! I found myself stuck to this book

I read this book back in 5th grade and remembered how scared it was when our teacher showed the videos. I wanted to reminisce and god this broughht back memories. I loved the Skeleton Creek books as a kid. Obviously now over 15 years later theyre a bit silly but I still enjoyed this a quick read

Haunting of Hill House was a creepy and kooky little book. It was a quick read and pretty good but because of it’s kookiness it tended to be confusing and had me having to just draw my own conclusions of what was even really happening. I dont think that was really a bad thing though as it adds to the actual mystery of Hill House. I think it was all very purposeful. I found myself actually relating to Eleanor even though I felt like they didnt want us to like her.
“I can control my own choices. I can absorb the lessons that teenage girls gave given me and try to create positive change however I can.”
‘Underestimated’ truly helped me reflect on my own feelings from when I was a teen and how I also talk to my own daughter (not a teen yet), myself and even others.
Extremely readable and inspiring, I loved that this was filled directly with the perspective of teenage girls and not just the reflection of conversations she had with them. It is so important that we acknowledge and listen, not rewrite.
Even if you don’t have a teenage daughter this book will challenge you to reflect on your own behavior, ideals, and how you speak to yourself and those around you.
Of the 4 books in this series this is my least favorite but that doesnt mean I dislike this book. I loved having the characters from previous books come back and still having the girls from the first be a part of the ‘family’. I found the first part of the book odd though once it stopped focusing on the actual case as much but then it picked right back up. One thing i dislike about this book was that there were no translations included in the back of the book for the amount of foreign language that this has in it. Full on paragraphs. I can typically just google a phrase but I would liter Just have to skip those parts..
