Barbarian Mine by Ruby Dixon

Okay, I absolutely loved this one, definitely my favourite in the series so far! The caveman/Tarzan & Jane vibes were immaculate, they kinda reminded me of the first book. This book answers a few questions from the book before and when it started with Harlow being clubbed over the head and kidnapped, I wasn’t sure where it was gonna go. I thought this book was gonna be just like Barbarian Alien, but it wasn’t, and It was just sooo good. The only thing I wished for in this book was that we got to see more of Harlow and Ruhk in the cave after they finally mated. This book was the first that we saw of the not-hoth and human babies. Both Harlow and Liz gave birth in this book, and the scenes were so cute and heartfelt. Honestly, my heart broke for Ruhk, his story is so sad, and it was so nice to see him finally have a family at the end of the book. I think if his father wasn’t already dead, I would have been rooting for him to be!
‘In that moment, I want to give Rukh everything I possibly can. I want to give him a mate, a family, teach him about sex, and share everything every day together. I want him to know he’s not alone. I want him to know someone else loves him. Someone else is there for him.’

This one takes place straight after Gentle Scars, make sure you read books one and two, first. The last book added vampires to the story and this time we got some witches + we got to see some badass fighting action in this one! Loved seeing a new depth to all the relationships, as well as some of their problems and worries smoothed out, or started to be worked on. Can’t wait for book 4, Broken Fate, later this year.
“Fate decided to give me a mate. One person to love for my entirety. I will love him with everything I have, but I will live much longer than he will. I will watch him grow old, while I am ageless. I will hold his hand when he dies, yet I will live.”

God, I just love these two, Misha and Paige have my heart. They’ve had their ups and downs but the love that they showed for each other in this book was just amazing. I absolutely adore the relationship that Paige has with Misha’s family, it’s just so wholesome and supportive. I also love that they all kinda rag on Misha together, lol. I love that Nicole’s Mafia Duets always have a bit of action in them, as well as some suspense and mystery. Definitely my favourite duet and couple, 1000/10 would recommend it.
“You know, I assumed getting out of Corden Park was my miracle,” I murmur. “Then I figured it was getting pregnant with the twins. But now I know. I know what my miracle is.” He smiles. “Tell me.” “You, Misha Orlov,” I say simply. “You are.”

I hadn’t read the Triad series before reading this one, so I was worried some things just wouldn’t make sense. But I loved this, and if like me you also didn’t read triad, this is a perfect stand-alone. This book met all the expectations that I had in my head after hearing about this book for the past month. This story was just perfect, from the action all the way to the smut it was just soooo good. Although there was a guy on the front and descriptions in the book, thanks to the dedication, I 1000% pictured Jax from Sons of Anarchy the entire time.
“He gives me whiplash with his moods. One second, he’s kissing me senseless, and then the next, he’s leaving me wondering if he likes me at all.”

I’ve read quite a few of Nicole’s duets but this is definitely my favourite so far. It feels like my birthday each time I see that she has a new release. I need more, I need the second book asap. I NEED ANSWERS!!!! I really enjoyed this book, but it ended on a cliffhanger and I just can’t wait. I really like this couple, and I just can’t wait for them to completely fall for each other.
“I don’t know how to be around her without wanting to be closer. I don’t know how to be around her without wanting to fuck her senseless, wanting to make her laugh, wanting to keep her safe. I don’t know how to be around her without falling the fuck apart.”

So sad that this is all over, it’s been such a fun ride reading these books. I wasn’t quite sure how this story was gonna wrap up, but I loved it. I feel like almost all the characters have a sort of peace in themselves now, and that most of their worries have been solved. I loved that this was an action-based romance, in fact, I honestly find this series so unique to other ones I’ve read. This story will always be with me, I think it’s one of those ones that you just never forget about. We got to see a new depth and backgrounds to a few characters this time round, I especially enjoyed seeing and hearing more about Roc. I can’t wait to see if Nikki writes about Roc and Tilly’s journey, would love to see more books set in this universe.
“I look around the room at the four men before me, on their knees. I love them, each of them, in my own way and they love me in turn.”

This one was just so cute, I think this is the first one that has actually dealt with trying to heal some of the trauma the girls went through. Saluhk was so kind, sweet and excepting, I adore him. I feel like I say this for each new one I read, but this time I 1000% mean it, this is my new favourite couple, and they definitely have my whole heart.
“Your fear will fade with time. I am a patient male and content to wait.” She gives a small, hiccupy laugh. “Most guys wouldn’t say something like that.” “Most are fools.”

This was an amazing debut from Letizia Lorini, and I really enjoyed reading it. The writing was great and it just flowed so well together. The characters also have got a bit of depth to them, and we got to see more of just them in the office. I’m not gonna lie I was definitely hungry during certain bits of this book, had me wanting to go down to the bakery lmao. Plus the twists and turns in this had me quite shocked by some of it. Such a good book, definitely recommend it.
“First, I’d never ask you to control yourself over anything. You are who you are, Heaven.” He pauses, scanning every inch of my face. “And besides, I could never hate anything about you. Not one single thing.”

I didn’t really enjoy Josie and Haedens story, especially at first. I just felt like it dragged on forever, and although I saw each of their sides, I got sick of their antics pretty quickly. I especially just grew tired of Josie’s character pretty quickly. In this one more women were found, thanks to Josie deciding to run away, I can’t wait to see what those girls' stories are gonna be. And of course who they get with lmao.
“But make no mistake - if you leave this world, I will not be long behind, because I cannot live without you.”

Can I have my own Declan, please! Although I did really enjoy the story, it did take me a bit to get into it. The book was definitely steamy and the end had me begging to know what happened next. I did quite enjoy that their relationship is going slow, I find most bdsm books I read just jump straight into more heavier things even when the girl is new to it.
