not much plot here. not much happens at all, honestly. and i guess that did sort of take away from my enjoyment of it? it's far far from bad, though. i thought the art was nice and the protagonist's general awkwardness is fun to witness. and i like vampires in media. but it's not the best thing ever.

i love this story sooooo much, it's so cozy and comforting πŸ˜ΏπŸ’— absolutely loved this book, though i do think the movie is better just because watching it feels like a more immersive experience for me.

i picked this up because i thought the title was intriguing. i should've known better, by which i mean i should've read the blurb, but i often forget to when it comes to poetry. anyway, as the blurb states, this is 'perfect for fans of amanda lovelace and rupi kaur'. i'm a fan of neither of them, i have nothing against them but stylistically their work is not the kind of poetry i like. that applies here too, the style just didn't work so it didn't get an emotional reaction out of me. the theme is nice, but the execution not really.

god, that was terrible. the style is so not something i like. at all. it made this collection so incredibly difficult to get through, super tedious. hated it thematically as well, and thought the stories were pointless.

one of my favourite ghibli movies ever, so of course i had to get this. i love it so much, the movie (and the book it's inspired by) are so comforting to me πŸ˜ΏπŸ’—

i love when oscar wilde just talks. observes things. speaks his mind. cause he's just so real, i get him completely! i get the art for art's sake movement in general and i agree with it, but especially when he talks about it. the critic as artist is one of my favorite essays ever, i think about it so often. i also loved the style, i don't think it's for everyone but god i adore it β™‘

partially interesting, i guess? the subject matter itself is interesting, but i didn't love the style. it's much more about data than i thought it would be. it's just not the book i thought i'd be reading based on the blurb and marketing, but alright! the humour didn't work for me at all and i kind of just wished the author would stop trying to be funny 😭 less scientific and less about chemistry than i expected.

full of emotion and definitely insightful. i very much appreciate the themes and issues the author chose to discuss in this collection. there were some poems that spoke to me more than the rest, however in general the style wasn't my thing at all. i still appreciate this collection, i just wouldn't reread it and i don't feel strongly about it.
