Paul Tremblay… you’re so slay and coo coo banana sandwich for writing this masterpiece. Incredible tension that made me want to keep coming back for more, and I loved the use of 1st person POV speaking to the audience. I also realized we never learned his name but I kind of love that and it really fits the purpose/themes of the book. Another banger from Mr Tremblay.

Screaming, crying, throwing up about Marra and Fenris (great name btw, DA2 fans iykyk) and Bonedog and Agnes and the dust-wife and Finder and of course, demon hen 💖 this was incredible. I loved the character dynamics which really reminded me of a D&D group and THE PINING between Marra and Fenris… It was SO GOOD!!!!!!! I also really loved this world’s magic and the simple storyline

I straight up just don’t care about any of these characters. The pop culture references felt silly and forced in a story with caricatures for teenagers. They feel like teenagers pulled from TV shows like Riverdale or Euphoria. The teacher’s POV felt the most compelling, but the writing was bogged down by how meandering all of this felt. Simply not the author for me.

Being the dumb dumb that I am, I blindly bought this without reading the synopsis from a rec I found on social media and you know what… my fault for being too trusting because this was dumb af. Could this not have worked better with her as a college student and keep an age gap??? Because why are the people that are saying she’s just a kid (which is true) the villains???

Loved the art, found some of the speech bubbles confusing, but overall, enjoyed it. This book 100% reads like a romance, but it isn’t, so that feels disappointing. I’ll never understand when authors write such romantic dialogue + have great chemistry and then just never do anything with it 💀

It was okay. If you are a cat owner or love cats, then you’ll probably like this, but it didn’t really hit for me. It was cool to see this from the cat’s POV, but sometimes the art felt really off like overly exaggerated despite the realistic backgrounds and details.
I don’t know where people are getting that this is a collection of 4 stories of different women when it follows only 1 woman and her cat, Chobi.

Really solid short story prequel from the POV of Albert and seeing the beginning of the bond between him and Elias that Dora briefly sees in a vision in Half A Soul. The problem I have after reading this is as much as I liked Miss Jennings, WHY COULDN’T DORA, ELIAS, AND ALBERT HAVE BEEN A THROUPLE??? IMAGINEEEEEEE 😭😭😭😭😭
