I think the characters were really interesting and I loved the drawing style. There was just a lot of dialogue for my taste.

I had really high hopes for this book. It just didn’t live up to them. I think if it was just a little bit longer, I would have enjoyed it more.

Eehh, the writing was okay. It wasn't like mind-blowing, but it wasn't terrible either. Also lesson learned: don't try to buy an old ass apple peeler from a girl online.

God, this shit was so boring. I would not have finished this if it wasn’t for a challenge. Also, why include more incest? No one wants that. It’s disgusting.

I just love this book so much. The writing style takes a minute to get used to but that is seriously my only complaint. I like that the setting was so abstract and undefined. It really made the characters (Red and Blue) the main focus. Also, Red and Blue relationship is just so lovely and sweet. I really enjoyed it.

The pacing was just weird and the plot was so confusing. Just not my thing.

The story deserves a 5 star. It was so beautiful and so emotional. I related to it a lot, but the low contrast illustrations just killed me. I'm sorry. They're really pretty and the artist is extremely talented but I got an actual headache from looking at them.

Why did Cassandra Clare right this? Cause she shouldn’t have. It was so slow and confusing and random. This series didn’t need 3 extra books. It should have ended after the 3rd one. The writing style is just so juvenile, even for a YA book. Like she’s got figure out better word choices — she used “canoodling” in the first book and I thought that was the last time I would ever have to read that, but I start reading this and what do you know, there it is again. The only redeeming quality about this book is Simon’s character. I love him and his story is just so sad.
