I greatly enjoyed reading this book. While a bit out of my comfort zone of topics it was very informative and interesting. The author does an excellent job of describing quanta as he understands it and the translator also did an excellent job of what I can only imagine was a Herculean effort to translate complex terminology at points.

I found this book to be heart wrenching. Perhaps it’s the utility and resentment from feeling like I must care for others before myself(from a young age no less) or maybe it’s how lost Peggy feels when she relises how much self sabotage she actually engages in. Either way I am very glad to have read this book and will certainly do so again

While I truly enjoyed the book I found the narrative being told from so many perspectives (some of which were not entirely clear as to who—or what—was speaking) made it harder to follow than I anticipated.
Perhaps I should have revisited Beowulf before reading this to truly appreciate the author’s efforts in this retelling and to understand more of the nuance.

An intriguing account which departs from the traditional, western, media accounts. As to how much sway it holds with me is to be determined by my own reading of some of the sources used. Ultimately an excellent look at modern conflicts and some of the other variables at play.

Very I can fix him vibes…
To be fair I should've known as it was essentially as advertised. The author did a good job with the characters. Although I felt as if she may have pushed the development of the relationship and their healing arcs a bit quick.
Not for me but likely enjoyable to a different audience

I truely enjoyed the book. While I don't typically enjoy reading from so many points of view, in this case I felt it fit the writing style perfectly. Not to mention I could not—or perhaps didn't want to—predict the ending. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
