Definitely like this better than TMI so I will be completing it. It was just darker and faster paced than the other books. It clear that Clare's writing got better. And I got to see Magnus!! Full review to come.

2nd book for booktubeathon! I loved it just like I loved it the first time I read it. It's so heart breaking and I just can't believe how selfish some of the characters are but I definitely will be doing a full review on this.

this book was so beautifully written and so heartbreaking but I absolutely loved it. I mean the way the characters changed as a result of the death made me think about how the death of a child affects real families. I also loved the incorporation of identity and how it affected each one of the characters whether they liked who they were or not and desperately attempted to be something else. Great debut book from this author. I look forward to reading more from her. Full review to come.

Another cute Nancy book. I must say I love the artwork, but once again this wasn't my favorite storyline.

Thissss reminded me so much of my first sleepover and I loved that the roles really ended up flipping between Nancy and JoJo. The artwork was amazing as always!

This was actually one of my least favorite Nancy books. The illustrations were beautiful; however, I didn't really like the storyline.

Another cute Fancy Nancy book! As always the illustrations were beautiful and I liked the story line that Nancy was a part of a wedding that was not considered to be traditional and it changed her mind about weddings.

This was another great introduction to the Fables world and the craziness that is about to ensue. I absolutely adored and loved everything about this volume including finding out who the adversary is and why he decided to conquer so many lands. I didn't realize it at the time, but this volume also includes information related to the volume Arabian Nights and Days. It was great to see characters that were considered to be Fables from the Middle East. I don't remember thinking about this when I read these volumes the first time; however, I'm interested in knowing where there are more fables and what areas of the world they inhabit. I'm coming close to the volumes where I stopped so after that I'll be gaining new information and I'm really excited. As always the characters were fun and refreshing, the artwork was extraordinary, and I'm really digging the plot. I'm currently waiting for the next volume at the library.

Update! Here's my full review: http://www.bookishrealmreviews.com/2018/01/under-mesquite-by-guadalupe-garcia.html

This was a book that I selected for one of the categories of my young adult materials class. We were given the option of choosing a book that was either nominated or won the Pura Belpre medal. I read through the descriptions of quite a few books; however, for some reason this book stood out to me. And after it was all said and done I’m glad that I actually took the time to read this book. It was heart-wrenching. The oldest of eight children is forced to figure out life after her mom gets cancer. She not only becomes somewhat of an adult, but she also has to figure out how she wants to continue her life if her mother was to pass away.

If you’re looking for more books that would be classified as #ownvoices, I would definitely recommend this one. It has a lot to offer for such a small book.

I have a full review written. I'll update this review with it as soon as it goes live on my blog.

This was such a good installment!! I absolutely loved it. I hope that she continues this story because it's an amazing concept with fun and interesting characters and a plot line that's to die for (haha did you see what I did there :D ). Anyway, if you haven't picked up this series yet I would definitely recommend it. I haven't seen a lot of people read this series and I think this is the year that I am going to push this series. Seriously! If you haven't read it it's time to pick it up.
