This volume mostly talks about Master Quifrey, his past and his motive for taking Coco as his apprentice. The friendship between Quifrey and Olly, so heartwarming and I can see how much Olly cares for Quifrey. Also, Quifrey tells Coco that there is always hope, and to not dwell on the result but truly savouring the process is the most important.

Excited to read the next volume. 

 

Baca buku ini membuka pandangan ku dan bikin aku lebih aware tentang seberapa privilagenya kehidupan ku sekarang. Karakter-karakternya mengajarku banyak hal, tentang semangat, harapan, nggak menyerah dan berusaha untuk terus membanggakan orang tua.

We follow Zenna dan Asrul, dua orang yang tinggal di kaki gunung, terpencil, miskin, tidak punya banyak pilihan dalam hidup. Tapi mereka punya semangat untuk mengubah garis hidup keluarga yang selalu hidup dalam kekurangan, caranya dengan belajar, cari pendidikan setinggi mungkin, walau harus berjualan jagung, jadi buruh kasar, apapun yang halal dilakukan untuk bisa sekolah dan membantu orang tua serta adik-adik mereka untuk terus bersekolah.

Perjuangan mereka bikin aku amaze, bangga. Disamping itu di highlight juga kerja keras orang tua dan doa ibu yang tak pernah berhenti berkumandang. Di tempa berbagai masalah yang seakan nggak ada jalan keluarnya, Zenna dan Asrul selalu dapat jalan. Asalkan mereka nggak menyerah.

Satu hal yang aku suka adalah bagaimana mereka tetap membantu orang lain bahkan dalam kekurangan. Kebaikan yang nggak ada habisnya, ketulusan yang murni.

Tulisannya sukses menjabarkan vibes di awal tahun 2000an, ada bagian yang bikin senyum-senyum, ketawa, berkaca-kaca dan epilognya bikin nangis bangga.

At the end of the day, usaha dan doa nggak akan mengkhianati hasil. Ditambah berbakti ke orang tua, semua masalah akan berlalu dan kita akan jadi pribadi yang lebih kuat along the way. 

 

Buku keempat ini agak sedikit berbeda karna nggak cuman fokus di satu kasus dari awal sampai akhir, tapi beberapa kasus sekaligus yang dibagi per part. 

Aku sangat enjoy kasus-kasusnya dan suka dengan penyelesaian dan cara berpikir mereka yang out of the box, meanwhile karna ada beberapa kasus dalam satu buku, ada kasus-kasus yang penyelesaian tidak tuntas bahkan aku pertanyakan saking tiba-tiba selesai. 

But, overall i love this whole series and their adventure 

 

Such a fresh story about a grandma who discover BL manga met with this young girl who also enjoy the manga but can’t talk about it because it’s BL. the bond through this manga reading experience despite their age difference and i can’t wait to read more about their precious bonding. 

 

I enjoy and love this book, reading this book felt like i’m back home. Love the Morisaki bookshop setting and the neighboorhood. This second book is more laid back although the ending is a little bit emotional. I enjoy the maturity of the main character and how she can solve her problem and people around her really well. 

Reading this book always reminds me of why i love reading in the first place and how fun it is to have someone talking about books. Also, i enjoy the recall of the habits that bookish people usually do, such as prefer to buy books than clothes, let books scatter all over their room, having many tbr but still buying books and many more. 

Wish to have another book in this setting again!! 

 I didn’t enjoy this book, most of the time i felt lost. also, the insta love and too much spicy overrun the actual plot and the uniqueness of the character. I finally can pick up the whole story when the book near the ending. 

 

My fav from Abby Jimenez books so far, love the small town romance setting. I love Daniel and his character arc, he is so kind, such a family man and mature despite his young age. I love the community of Wakan and how they got each other back. This book is so heartwarming but also giving me the emotional roller coaster throughout the book. It show the different background of two main characters really well, i also love how brave and unique the type of love their try to portray in this book, i cried reading this book. 

I’ll recommend everyone to read it, i wish i can read this book again for the first time. 

 

This second book screams Elm’s name boldly, and I love it. I love the suspenseful aspect and the roller coaster emotion i felt throughout the book. also, didn’t expect that the ending would be quite emotional, especially on Elspeth and the nightmare part. 

I love the descriptive writing style, makes it easy for me to imagine the world building especially since I finished the first book a long time ago and have a hazy visualization of the setting.
