the essay on marriage made me cry

this is basically just a primary source reader of the Church fathers on the subject, which is perfect, it’s exactly what I wanted

wasn’t expecting this book to be so… funny???

this was great, but about 2/3 of the way in, I was like, yknow, I really don’t need to know this much about orchids.

a perfect book. I try to drag out reading her books so I can stay in them longer but I never manage. got through this in less than 24 beautiful hours. a PERFECT BOOK

completely life changing

I picked up the book because I knew the author in college, but it actually turned out to be a really good choice for a media apostle in training. Anyway, ban youtube.

One of the best books I have ever read. Frederick Douglass is one of those people I somehow was never assigned in school but felt like I needed to read if I was going to consider myself educated and WOW I am glad I did. A breath of fresh air to go back to the sources when all the discourse about the Civil War today is so…. garbage. Everybody had a conscience, everybody knew. “The Color Line” could have been written yesterday and certain people would find it intolerably radical. You love to see it.
