Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver
3.0
Well considering the last book I read by Lauren Oliver was horrible this one was okay well it wasn't as good as Panic which I loved the story was good at least I found myself having a hard time not being curious to see how it would end.
Brief summery (From the hardback blurb):
Dara and Nick used to be inseparable but that was before - before Dara kissed Parker, before Nick lost him as her best friend, before the accident that left Dara's beautiful face scarred. Now the two sisters, who used to be so close, aren't speaking. In an instant, Nick lost everything and is determined to use the summer to get it all back.
Overall this book was okay I wasn't disappointed but having read Delirium I'm making sure I never read any of this author's earlier books ever as I don't want to find myself being disappointed again.

I loved this book as it sets graduating students into a game of extreme challenges and death in order to play you must jump of a cliff.
This is the first Lauren Oliver book I've read and I'm pleased to say I'm glad I read this book now and I'll be reading it again in the near future.

I Am Her Revenge by Meredith Moore

I loved, loved, loved this book and I found myself relating to Vivian so much in her backstory I won't go into why...
Anyway I had a hard time putting this book down but I wish there was another book because yes things got answered and all but it was just so open ended and yes I nearly cried near the end because Vivian learns so much about herself and who she really is and frankly after all the shit she had to deal with Morgana who I'm glad to say got what was coming to her after what she'd done to Vivian but yeah I was pleasantly surprised with this one.

Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch

In Snow Like Ashes we meet the orphan called Meira (I see her to be like Celaena from Throne of Glass but like Celaena she will not go down without a fight and I love characters like this) Anyway the Winter Kingdom was overthrown 16 years ago and Meira and a few other survivors are now refugees she has been trained into a warrior she now wants to reclaim the magic that has been to the Winter kingdom with the help of Mather and Sir (So many feels for these two oh my gosh) now I started this book a while ago and left it for a while before going back to it but this gets straight to the point and there's a healthy amount of bloodshed, romance and magic and trust me I had a hard time putting this book down once I got back into it again and now that Meira knows her fate I anticipate to see her develop more in book two Ice Like Fire but that won't be for another few months which is annoying but I'll gladly re-read this again.
Our Lady of the Streets by Tom Pollock

Didn't post any reviews for the first two books in this trilogy and it ended on a good note this trilogy would be best described as a urban fantasy based in a modern day London and well our characters are Pen and Beth I won't spoil anything but yeah I enjoyed these books and it just adds to London's mystery and kudos to Tom Pollock for writing these books as I was itching to learn what would happen to Pen and Beth in each book as the trilogy went on and you what the wait was worth it. Considering the fact that picked up the first book because it sounded interesting I had no idea that I would be swept away with the concept but I was.
I just wish this author would release a new book soon because I loved this trilogy.

Bloodlines by Richelle Mead

And this certainly puts a new spin on the whole vampire genre which is nice at least Mead didn't follow Stephanie Meyer which I'm pleased with anyway it's what 3:36 in the morning and I finally finished this book slow start but I pushed through this book eventually and I really like Sydney Sage also no sparkling vampires in this book hooray! Now that aside the story was fairly easy to get into but the chapters are pretty long though but hey the pay off at the was pretty satisfying.
