I thought I would love this one, but I found it difficult to connect with. I found the characters compelling but the plot was too complex, the world and its politics just too alien for my liking. Overall, I think there was just too much going on for my taste.

If you enjoy deep political intrigue in an alien setting, you’ll probably love this one.

It’s been a long time since I hate-read a book. Honestly, I did *not* enjoy this, but I couldn’t put it down.

The basic premise seems to be that in the absence of a functioning society, people inherently turn into either libertarians or authoritarians. Also, no one will do anything useful.
