🎧 This one is now renamed ‘My Perfect Marraige’. It was just ok for me and can’t say I’ll remember it in a day or so. It delves straight in but it’s a slow paced listen. Where there are secrets and lies revealed they were just meh and the lead up to the big outcome was underwhelming. Some of the police procedural aspects were just too far fetched and not true to real life. The storyline wasn’t anything different to many others and it lacked substance. I can’t say I was endeared by any of the characters as I felt I didn’t reply get to know them. It was only ok.

🎧 This was a fast paced, engaging listen that got my attention from the get-go. There are a few characters to get to grips with but a couple of chapters in and your good to go. It moved at a steady pace and had a well developed storyline and characters along with them being both likeable and unlikeable. Claire Corbett always does an exceptional job of narrating and she’s one of my favourite narrators. This is a good listen that you won’t even feel the time going.

Ive read so many rave reviews about this read and I was really looking forward to getting stuck in. It’s described as a thriller and set in New Zealand in the 1980s but also has flashes to present day. This is a really cleverly written read but for me the pace was incredibly slow for the first 1/4. It picked up a little in the middle and then it felt really rushed when bringing it all together. For me it lacked the thrills to keep me engaged and I found I wasn’t really reaching to pick it up. I found it to be predicable..Yet again I’m in the minority when it comes to this one as it didn’t really work for me and wasn’t the engaging read I was expecting but that could be due to the fact I had it built up in my head.

🎧 This is the second book in the DC Maeve Kerrigan series and it’s an another good one. It starts off with one storyline and quickly steers onto another. The story unfolds at a steady pace throughout but at times I did wish it would move a little faster. There were some great twists and turns throughout that kept you on your toes. Both loveable and not so loveable characters but personally I love the character of Maeve Kerrigan. She has such a “take no crap” attitude and really is a strong female character. Looking forward to the next installment.

🎧 It delves straight into the storyline but I found it to be all over the place with alot of POV’s to contend with and it just got confusing. After such a build up and so drawn out for a good portion of the listen the actual storyline when it all came about was just meh and a little too convenient. I can’t say I really cared for any of the characters. This just didn’t work for me and just veered on the edge of unbelievable. The narrator did a good job and it’s one of the reasons I got to the end.

Omg what was that and when will my skin stop crawling đŸ˜±. This one is a must read and has such a creep factor you will never look at an attic the same. I couldn’t get enough and couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to find out what was actually going on. I actually patted myself on the back at one stage as I thought I had it all figured out but that was short lived and then I set my sights on another scenario and of course I doubled back again, my mind was in a tizzy. But in fairness that’s what I call a well written storyline. Both the storyline and the characters were really well developed and the pace was just right with giving you just enough and then keeping you hanging. This was another crazy whirlwind read from Andrea Mara and I for one hope she keeps them coming.

🎧 This is an intriguing domestic thriller that has your spidey senses going many different ways. It’s a fast paced read that holds your attention. There are many twists and turns with some I could see coming and but some that were a complete surprise which is always a plus. I honestly couldn’t stand Miles from the get go and wasn’t sure initially if I liked Lucy but that was short lived. This is a rollercoaster read that doesn’t let up with some really good surprises along the way. The narrator did a great job of building the storyline and keeping the listener engaged. A good read for sure.

This one is a gripping page turner. I read it in 2 days, I just couldn’t get enough. It grips you from the beginning and just moves at a steady pace throughout. It’s full of twists and turns and doesn’t let up. You get a mix of likeable and dis-likeable character’s and I have to admit I did find June a little annoying at times but I think that was the point. The author did a great job of building the storyline and the suspense along with both the storyline and characters being really well developed. Really enjoyed this one and it’s definitely one for the TBR list.

🎧 Binged it in a day. It’s one of those listens that grabs you from the start. It delves straight into the story and moves at a steady pace throughout. The suspense factor is very much there and it has a lot going on. It’s a well developed storyline. I liked the characters mostly but really couldn’t stand Lizzie’s overbearing mother. There are many twists along the way and it all comes together in a way that really finished it off nicely. Well worth a listen

🎧 It’s described as a domestic thriller and it definitely follows through on that. It grabs you from the beginning. It’s full of secrets and suspense. Told from different points of view which is always a plus as you get a feel for the different characters. Well developed storyline and mostly likeable characters but some not so much. The narrator does a great job at keeping you engaged. It’s an easy but quick listen as it moves at a steady pace and it’s one I kept looking forward to picking up. Would recommend
