Loved the quick read. Perfect to get what you want from a novella without feeling like something was left out! Also fit a lot of spicy in such a short span. Perfect

Good story line and I did like the characters but I was confused in the timeline. They lived in a way that seemed centuries ago but had current century knowledge. There were a-lot of grammatical errors, missing words or sentences, words put in the wrong places or not deleted when fixed. There was an incredible amount of inner dialog which I usually don’t mind but I didn’t feel it was necessary since it was repetitive. Needed more dialog between characters and there were definitely some things I felt could have been added but got left out. This story has so much potential, just needs some tweaks otherwise it was enjoyable.

When I heard people taking about this book I expected all
Spice but not it has spice but it really keeps to the plot of Peter Pan with some sexy updates!
I really loved this retelling and cannot wait to read the 2nd one.

I have heard great things about this book from so many people and then I was told it was a must to listen to the audio and they did not disappoint. The audio made it all the more real and hit the spice

Let me start off saying I got the honorable job to ARC read this book.
Just like anything you read from Shantel Tessier it was flaming

We all knew where this was going but how it got there was pretty fantastic! The suspense, spicy scenes and interactions were beautifully written which made the audio so good! I am utterly excited for the 3rd book!

Nikki did it again!!!! I loved Never King but I love The Dark One just as much…. She gave me the spice, the story line, the angst. I was completely in love with this book. Winnie/Pan/Vane/Kas/Bash are the Harem you want and the sweet and tough sides are a perfect combo. The story wasn’t too long or too short. She gave you a everything you wanted and needed without feeling you missed anything. There was interactions with all the characters. BUT THE DAMN CLIFFHANGER leave you wanting so much more and there are so many different ways this could go but I know I will not be disappointed with how she takes this series!

Fricking amazing! This story was full of love, hope, lust and beautiful devastation. The build was beautiful with all the life intricacies to make these characters become such a wonderful world to live in. This story reels you and doesn’t let go til your head and heart are turned upside down!
