I don't know what it is about Davidson's books but they are always a comfort for me. There might be dark moments but you always feel the love and protectiveness of the other characters.
Fred needed his hea and he finally got it and who better than the mysterious Vin. I loved this pairing so much!
I loved seeing Fred reluctantly fall into his role as the head of the Irish. He never wanted it to begin with but when people force him into it, he flourishes into his role. He can be a boss and still be a doctor too because he has the most powerful people backing him up and he won't let anyone run his life for himself.
Vin came in to be a bodyguard of sorts to Fred but he knew he wanted it more than that with Fred.
I liked that Vin just knew what Fred needed but never pushed him one way or the other.
Haven Hart made a brief appearance and I loved seeing them again. Snow has even more wisdom as he gets older. Poe is still the same because he still hates when people call him unless it's a life or death situation but also not really. Simon and Rush too! 🥰
I just loved that they came to Westford to show Fred's enemies they were a united front.
Aiden was so sus that by the end of it I wasn't surprised at all. It was just sad that he was like he was when if he had ask, he could probably have what he wanted.
Fred's biological family is gone but he has his foster one and no one will ever leave him alone.
I had such a great time with this book and I can't wait for the next one.

I liked being back with these characters after I read this series a couple years ago and I’m very intrigued by Cian’s story however there were a lot of repetitive parts throughout the story imo. Maybe it’s because I remember bits and pieces about everyone. 🤷♀️
Eroch , the not so little dragon, is always a highlight.

Well Vi was frustrating in this one with the whole ‘ I can’t love him when he keeps secrets’ whereas Xaden was the adult in the relationship and he decided to work on the communication issue and he did well while Vi struggled with it.
Dain is still alive and well and I guess I don’t mind it now.
The whole thing with Vi’s mom was the redemption she needed imo.
The ending was somewhat unexpected but also not something I’m worried about. I wanna know what Tairn think about it.
The dragons were fun as always!
I’m excited for Onyx Storm.

This was a good story and I very much look forward to Kennan's book.
The beginning was slow imo so I skimmed some things but once he hit the 40% mark or so, I was very much invested in Sara & Rory's story.
I loved that Sara was fierce and strong. She stood up for herself whilst in the middle of a rival clan and she wasn't afraid of using a punch or 2 to make her point. I loved her.
Rory had a lot of deep rooted mistrust since he was 18 years old so it took him a bit to harm up to Sara but their connection was inevitable because he saw Sara for who she was even when he had loud thoughts in his mind.
I loved where the story took us towards the end and how everything resolved and I look forward to seeing both clans prosper in future books.
* I read an arc of this book. *

I ended up not finishing her Chestnut Spring series because I just wasn't into it anymore but on a whim I decided to start this book and I ended up reading it in one sitting. It was so good. Ford was so dreamy. No wonder he's Cade's brother.
I loved the longing and pining from Ford. With that said I was on the precipice of feeling frustrated with it all but Elsie said enough of this in the moment I needed her to. I loved their bickering and to see how much Ford was truly there for her since they were teens and she just never saw it that way.
I also sort of loved the way he became a single parent. It was a very unique situation. I also loved the kid too.
I loved the friendship Rosie formed with the kid too.
Rosie has been living for others basically. She hates disappointing others so she just goes along with it until she realizes it and said enough so she decided to go back home to find herself again.
I loved that she only felt more like herself again once she started bickering with Ford.
I loved seeing them ( more Rosie than Ford because he was in love with her since forever) fall in love and I loved how balanced they made each other.
All in all I loved reading another Elsie book that I loved and I'm intrigued for the next one.

Such a sweet story. Tiffany Roberts sure knows how to do them.
The narrators for this one were great too.
Loved tabitha and the representation surrounding her. Loved the whole alien thing where they had to come to Earth to find compatible females for their species to not be extinguished. I loved how Logan ( human name because I can't for the life of me spell his actual name without searching for it 😅) went about wooing her but ended up k!dnap-ing her instead. It was good times!
It was a bit slowing in the beginning but that was to be expected and I look forward to read the next one.
