I’m pretty sure this is my first book by Amy but it won’t definitely be the last!
I love this book! This story has some funny moments and these characters are so heartwarming. The way they showed love towards Trista was precious and sorely needed. I loved every single character.
Trista wants to be a surrogate because she needs capital to open a charitable animal shelter. One might say Evie is the cupid because she had a mission and that was to find a Momma Bear for her Uncle before going abroad.
I love Trista. She is so damn relatable to me, it’s not even funny. She has a lot of family issues and the way she copes with it all is by rescuing animals and taking care of them .
Wyatt thinks he needs nothing else in life except being a dad. He needs to be one to fill whole.
He is grumpy but golden. He is the most protective guy when it comes to those he loves and he doesn’t care what others think of him. What matters is what those he loves thinks and that’s it. I loved that about him.
I loved Trista & Wyatt first interactions. They were honest with each other from the get go. I loved this sort of friendship they created for themselves but most of all I love the way Wyatt did his little acts of service because the one thing he knows for sure is that if she is gonna have his baby then he needs to take care of her so he makes her breakfast and leave at her door at 6am. He does other things too that just makes him even more lovable. He also had his embarrassing moments which are adorable!
He also can’t say no to her since the beginning so at first he had a goat, Millie but by the way of the story his home was like a Zoo which I loved.
Trista had some commitment issues but Wyatt decided that not even that would stand in his way of getting his woman. The way his family also helped him was precious. I loved every moment of it!
I loved how the brothers also protected Trista and overall I just loved reading about this family and the new addition, Trista and the baby.

Noah Hayes , the big bachelor billionaire, was hard to like at first because he is a women’s man and sleeps not only with one but two women and it seems like it’s frequent 🙄.
I guess he was hurt by what the ex did but still… two women? 😅 it’s a bit much if you ask me but then a kid enters the picture and I must say that Chris, the kid, was what made me like Noah.
Noah makes a clause with the new nanny and that clause was that she couldn’t touch him or make inappropriate advances. Like how much full of herself are you? It was a bit of a turn off for me but I like the nanny’s, Madison, reaction to the whole situation.
Suffice to say, the joke was on him because he was the one that couldn’t contain himself.
I like seeing him slowly falling in him for her through her relationship with her son.
Madison has a complicated family and she is basically the one sustaining her brother and sick mother.
I really like Madison. She is kind and I love the way she is with Chris. Her relationship with him was definitely the highlight for me in this story.
Chris is adorable! He is much like his father but he just wants a mother and once he warms up to Madison, it’s game over. I love him so much!
Now the conflict for the next part is obvious from the very beginning and I’m honestly fine with it but I don’t really like the fact that this is a duet because it’s not necessarily. This could’ve easily been one book.
I don’t really like Noah thinking regarding the media thing but I get why. I really hope he doesn’t shut down and push Madison away and cause heartache for everyone just because his company is more important than the people he thinks as family but we’ll see.
The third act was also very predictable but I liked how it played out. I was honestly surprised that the guy 🤐reacted the way he did but I like where the situation ended.
All in all I enjoyed myself a lot and I read it in one sitting however my feelings towards it were mixed. I look forward to part two because I want Chris to have a family and Madison to get her hea. Regarding my feelings towards Noah, his reactions in part 2 will ultimately determine how I feel about him.
Again this should’ve been one book but I wanna know what happens next.

I was actually excited to read about Viktor & Marlena. She is the type who doesn't want or need a relationship whereas Viktor knew since the first he saw her, that she was the one so I was in for a ride.
This type of story has the potential to annoy me when the fmc just refuses a relationship with a man who actually does everything for her but this story was not it. I actually loved Marlena and how she handled everything including Viktor.
Viktor was such a patient guy but not too patient you know. He pushed Marlena at the right times but also let her pull back when she needed it. I really liked their dynamic and how they progressed in their relationship. Viktor is also very protective, possessive and likes control much like Andrei but he compromised a lot with Marlena which I very much liked to see.
Marlena's view on relationship was very tainted by her past but nothing like a man who won't bulge no matter what to show her that not all hope is lost and that love is possible for her, she just had a give in a little and her world would be rocked.
I liked seeing Marlena just being convinced little by little that Viktor wasn't going anywhere.
I'm actually very excited for Sergei's book. I feel like that one is gonna be so good. Can't wait so read more about him. I feel like he was the cousin who liked relationships the most but because of an ex, he hates them but that's about to change and I can't wait.

This is my first book by this author. I loved Andrei but Izzy was a bit more difficult to love but that has to do with my preferences than anything else. I was also a bit confused about what this was. I just assumed by the end of it that Andrei is the boss of the russian mafia in this city because he is russian. I don't remember reading anything specific about this topic besides someone saying they do shady stuff, whatever that means.
When Andrei decides something, he does it whether that means keeping someone from going places or not. If he wants someone then he will do anything to have her and Izzy was the one. I liked that he punished her 😉.
Izzy has selective amnesia so she comes to her hometown where stuff went down to try and see if she can remember what happened years ago but all that puts her in Andrei's sights.
Izzy was such a brat though and I appreciate bratness but she was too much for me and hence why I mentioned above that this is about preferences. I feel like her bratiness/ stubbornness at times put her in danger which to me at some point came across as her being a brat/stubborn just for the sake of it which in turn made her kind of a dummy imo. i liked her for the most part but her being such a brat brought the story down for me but if you like this type of fmc and wanna dip your toes in mafia then this is for you. Just expect a bit of a spanking here and there. 🙃

This couple had an interesting set up in the previous book and all in all I loved it.
Maisy is on par with the other FMC's in this series. She has some funny curse words. After everything she went through, she ended up gaining a stalker aka the one. 😉
I liked that she didn't show much fear when she received some less than desirable gifts from Nico. She just wasn't afraid of Nico however she was very afraid of the power he had over her body.
Nico was a delight especially when he thought that letting Maisy refuse him and giving her questionable gifts was enough to apologize for what he did in the previous book. 😅
I think he was already too much in love by that point. I love how willing to spill other's 🩸 he was whenever it was warranted but also how possessive of her he was.
I must say I was somewhat skeptical of the promise he gave Maisy and that he would in fact stop his takeover plan but the author surprised me in that regard. The man was too far gone to think about anything but Maisy. 🥰
I wish Maisy told earlier about what she found out but I'm assuming that it's gonna be relevant in Marco's book which I'm very excited for.
What Marco did when he met Maisy was shady but I think I'll get over it soon because of what I've seen so far, he is a good guy but with a lot of resentment inside his heart. I have high expectations for him.
I loved seeing all the previous characters in one place and seeing how they all dealt with each other. I think the whole situation was well handed and I look forward to see more of them together in one place and trying to be a family without deadly looks. 🙃

I feel like I said this about the previous book BUT this one is my favorite now! 😌
This was the finale of Beautifully Brutal series but it’s not the last time we’ll see the characters. 🥰
Evan was the elusive Doughty brother. We only saw him here and there when someone needed him but other than that we knew nothing about him except that he was a copy of Desmond Doughty and that was not necessarily a good thing.
Evan was just what I needed him to be. Teegan was his first love and you know what they say, no one forget their first love. Not even after 10 years apart and that’s precisely what happened. I loved that Evan knew he found his soulmate in Teegan and he knew no one wouldn’t compare so he didn’t even try to move on. Same goes for Tee. I’m not a huge fan of “flashbacks” but I love seeing them when they were young and in love and exploring their sexuality. They learned each other on a deep level and that was never forgotten, not even 10 years later. They were also best friends and that was felt too. They understood each other so well even after all the stuff they went through (currently timeline).
I just love how they were together as if 10 years hasn’t gone by and their love is even stronger than before.
Teegan has been through it. She feel like there’s nothing left of her to give but Evan proves her wrong. I also like that even when she had those feelings/thoughts, she also saw she could do something to help others and simply not drown in despair which would also be fair. I like that she took what she went through as a starting fire and then she just let it burn which made her stronger and braver than before. She inadvertently became the queen that Evan needed and together they will Reign. 🥰
I just love these two together! It’s difficult for me to love second chance romance but Emma does it again. She knows how to do them.
What/who kept these two apart 10 years ago was not exactly a surprise to me because if you know the characters, you will figure it out. I like that Emma didn’t took longer to reveal the what and who. To me it was at a right time in the story (50%) which was a good place and it made sense.
Desmond Doughty is a polarizing character (I feel like I say this every time 😂). I end up loving the guy every time! I honestly think he’s my favorite side character because he brings all sides of me out to play and like I said I always end up loving him. I wonder if anyone else feel like this about him.
Anyways I LOVED seeing everyone and how intricate everyone is. They feel like true family and they with no doubt support each other no matter what. If someone needs to go to war, they will do it. There’s no second guessing and I just love that.
And all the babies! Also Hallie is terrrifying. 😂 when they said “can you imagine how she will be when she’s a teen?” And I just shudder just thinking about it. Mark my words, she will rule the word! I just love her, she’s just adorable.
Emma put me through the wringer with the last 20%. She made me cry! What a finale yall! I was feeling it alright.
I loved this book in case it wasn’t obvious and it was almost a 6 stars for sure. I honestly cannot wait for her next book. It’s gonna be 🔥.

This was my first book by this author so I was excited to give it a go. To be honest when I saw the title, I was convinced. I was intrigued for sure and the title was what I needed to push me to read this.
It took me a bit to get into the story at first. Once I was like “okay, I like where this is going”, I was invested in these characters even though I had a couple “issues” with it.
The timeline, 5 years ago and Now, were confusing at times and I wonder why we had so much of the past. I’m not a fan of that but it sort of worked.
Lily was adorable but her naïveté had no bounds. She is a people pleaser and she lets everyone take advantage of her kind heart and almost bully her. That’s absolutely the opposite of me so maybe you can call it preference but it was hard seeing where the story was going and Lily be so clueless.
I did like her enough to read it till the end but there’s a moment in the story where she stands up for herself but not fully and I’ll get to it later. I think the saving grace was Mia when it came down to this.
Shawn was an *** wherever he saw Lily after they went separate ways 5 years ago. Why? Because he loved her so much then and she had a boyfriend so he didn’t tell her how he felt and bolted. Mind you, they were like best friends.
To me once Shawn made the decision to go to a different school, he was a coward when he didn’t tell Lily his feelings and instead said hurtful things. He just had nothing to lose and instead he decided to tell her it was unbearable to work with her and torture. 🙄
He was a nice guy and I liked him but the little things aren’t forgotten.
I really liked them together. Once they decided to start something, they went all in which I appreciated .
Now Trevor, Lily’s ex and “Boss”, and Stacey are horrible. The fact that it was so obvious what was going on, Shawn never asked questions nor did he find weird certain behavior. All of this when it comes to Stacey.
Trevor showed his colors once Lily broke up with him so no surprise there but the fact that when everything came to an end, Trevor had all the consequences and Stacey, that 2 faced B****, walked away with a slap on the wrist and guess what? Started working with Shawn again. I’m sorry but what now?! She was horrible 5 years ago and she was horrible now. Oh but she was blackmailed. Is that reason enough to be so condescending to Lily and being so rude and just… all the things! Mia was my saving grace honestly. Mia stood up to everyone on Lily’s behalf and she definitely saw the same things I did and so she called Stacey on her bs which I appreciated.
I just don’t get why Lily forgave Stacey and in fact was grateful to her because she saved her career. Stacey shouldn’t have one to begin with. Lily is the type to always see the good in people but there’s a difference between being naive and seeing the best of people and being dumb. Stacey never did or said anything nice to Lily and the ‘saving the career thing’, she was did what was right and mind you, she didn’t did what she did because Lily would lose everything. No no, she did what she did because Shawn decided to take the fall and she wanted to save his career because her career depended on his too. She was awful and she had no consequences whatsoever and I don’t like how all of things concluded.
Tristan and Nikki are so adorable together and I think I need to read their book. Also that title is calling out to me. 🙈
I’m a Mia fan, if that wasn’t obvious before , and I thought her book would be next since we had a little tease but I’m cool with waiting.
All in all this was a good enough read but my “hang ups” ultimately brought the story down for me.
I’m still willing to continue the series and see if I’ll continue later on.
