okay so i finished this yesterday and i had to let it sink in. i kinda felt like someone took an exfoliating brush to my chest cavity after i finished this and i’m still not sure why, maybe it’s just madeline miller’s writing. would’ve been 5 stars only i wasn’t crazy about the last page BUT it is growing on me. maybe. i want more heroines with wolf packs and lioness prides.

i have no idea what i wanna rate this but i do wanna say i guessed everything and i am feeling quite pleased with myself rn. **solid 3.5

**i decided this needed to be 5 stars bc i still can’t stop thinking about it.** i liked the first half but i really loved the last. Darby’s so cool and we love her.

ok so y’all were not kidding - this was dark. it was thrilling enough that i read it in one sitting but also a lot heavier than i’m usually willing to go with my books. four stars but i might just be proud of myself for getting through one of my most violent books yet.
