I absolutely loved this! At first I was thinking it was probably only going to be a four star. But as the story progressed I got obsessed. Isolde is a badass and I loved watching her character growth. And Adrian is everything. This story was pretty unique. I did pretty much guess the big plot twist, but it didn’t ruin the story for me. It made it more fun, as I’m hardly ever right. I would definitely recommend this for From Blood and Ash Fans! (The plot is very different though. I’ve seen some people say it’s a FBAA rip off. It totally isn’t. At all).

Ugh I adore this series so freaking much. I loved how we were at another boarding school in this book. It was interesting to compare to Eleanor’s. I loved getting to know Cora better. And Reagan was in this one too! It made the 6th book come a little bit more full circle. I just love this world and all our characters so much. Highly recommend this series!

Spoiler free review. The beginning was a tiny bit slow. But the ending. Oh my gods. Things got insane! I honestly don’t see much to be angry about. This book ended up being just about as great as all the other three. Poppy and Casteel are everything! The world building does kind of continue on. But it’s definitely necessary.
I don’t know what else to say, other than this still continues to be one of my favorite series of all time.
And yes, you do need to read A Shadow In the Ember before reading this one.

I absolutely adored this book. But the epilogue was beautiful. The epilogue was heart wrenching and hopeful. Every single one of these characters are near and dear to my heart. I’m so sad the trilogy is over.
Also we stan Magnus Bane being in all the Shadowhunter books!

This book ended up being so good! It was nice to finally get to know London better. I continue to love the friendship between Samiah, Taylor and London. This book also had a few of my favorite tropes: enemies to lovers and the guy falling first. I loved Drew and London together so much. Although The fact that she continued to see Drew as her high school rival fifteen years later was a bit ridiculous. This however is kind of explained later in the book, definitely can’t hold daddy issues against her. I would highly recommend checking out this romance series! I would recommend reading them in publication order though. As there would be some spoilers otherwise.
Thank you so much to NetGalley for the early review copy!

Giving this about 3.5 stars. I’m not sure why everyone is so disappointed in this book. I really didn’t think it was that bad. It was entertaining and kept me guessing. It did become a bit predictable and maybe a tad ridiculous. But overall I enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed getting to know Magnus Bane more. These stories were hilarious and I loved seeing a few characters we’ve seen throughout The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices pop up. Definite must read for fans of the Shadowhunter world!
