I heard this was similar to The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides. It was actually pretty different though. The story was pretty unique and took a direction I wasn’t expecting. I did end up enjoying it though. It was a quick read that kept me hooked throughout. I’m glad I picked it up!

Giving this about a 2.5 star. This was mediocre. Although I know I probably wasn’t the intended audience. I was expecting a horror book and this was just a little middlegrade novella.

Used to check out Shel Silverstein books from the library when I was younger. So there’s always such nostalgia when reading these as an adult. His poems are always so fun. Although some of these were a bit more dark than I remembered lol

This series is absolutely amazing. I don’t know how to put into words what this world and these characters mean to me. This is escapism at its finest. This book brought me to tears, made me laugh, made me smile. I had my heart ripped out and put back in multiple times. This series ending was absolute perfection. I can’t wait to read the rest of the Shadowhunter books.

I honestly don’t know what to say about this book. This therapist obviously oversteps his bounds. A lot. The ending got crazy in my opinion, but I enjoyed how everything came together at the end. As a psychology major, I liked how mental issues were discussed. Always interesting to me. I’m interested to read ‘Patient Files from Prison’ now.
