Return at a later date.

My expectations of this novel were definitely incorrect. I was anticipating a more literary, sweeping, tender romance than was presented. Also, I am so sorry but I simply could not enjoy the parts featuring Eva's 12-year-old daughter—call me a child hater.

I have to say, I think I enjoyed this more than The Handmaid's Tale. There was a level of urgency, intrigue, and mystery within this installment that kept me enraptured.
