Overall I enjoyed this a lot. The beginning was definitely giving Scooby Doo Zombie Island vibes which i was here for.
There were some parts of the book I wished had been explored further and I felt like the character development was more tell than show but I still really enjoyed the read.

Overall this was a decently fun read. The cast of characters was fun and just the general backdrop of the Dublin Drag Scene was very entertaining.
That being said so many of the plot points felt forced, from Robyn and Fi's fight to the reveal of the killer.

I found this incredibly boring. This is marketed as a thriller but really it's a character study. It starts off on such a gruesome and exciting scene and then is just boring. I wanted to see the characters actually build these relationships together and then watch them dissolve but really it was a lot of telling and not showing.
The ending was also very unsatisfactory. The only redeeming part of this book for me was the prose was lovely a lot of the time.

This was in a word: disappointing. I loved the first one so much that I honestly don't know what happened here. It was too convoluted, there was too much world building for a second book. It was rushed. There were characters that were inconsistent from the first one.
All in all this was just a chore to read.

Yet another banger in the cambric creek universe. Anzan and Ladybug might be one of my favorite couples
