Spike, Giles and Drusilla were, as always, amazing ! Let's be honest, the plot kinda sucked because the multiverse trope is getting tiring when it doesn't had much to the story. You can clearly feel it's just a way to revive some dead characters. A fun audio book however !

The character development is amazing, as always with this series. However, I do find the story uninteresting each time. I will certainly read the third book as the character is one of a kind but I find the mystery very dull.

When you know a little bit about mushrooms, you know where the book is going from the very beginning. The pace was maybe a little bit too fast for me because I tend to enjoy Kingfisher's strong character development as in the Saint of Steel series. However, the gothic atmosphere is very well crafted. Looking forward for the next book !
