Really liked this one. The idea is that we can use people to spy on others around the world using technology. They can literally see through their eyes and hear what they hear. There are some problems with the system though.
It’s a matter of believing what you are seeing and whether you can trust anyone. The epilogue is a great addition to the story.

This reminded me of Girl Next Door. Very gory, hopeless and just sad. A girl is held captive in the attic and the story is about how to rescue her. The question of right v wrong and morality is a major theme.

At first this reads like a historical fiction on the Holocaust then turns into something much more gory, sinister, and supernatural. A really great blend of the metaphor of humanity’s demons versus Hell’s.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 30%.

It was too chaotic for me and I’m not really sure what it was about. I’m not the best at graphic novels.

Freida McFadden is fantastic. This was a fast read whodunit about an abduction of a teenage girl in a small town. Lots of twists and turns and misdirection.

I did not like this one as much as the first one. It wasn’t even about the first half of the book. The relationship between the 2 MCs is just so demented and abusive that it was hard to read through it all. I know there were trigger warnings, but it wasn’t triggering for me, just unrealistic? The rest of the book, outside of the relationship, was fantastic. TW: blood, murder, abuse, rape, human trafficking.

Thoroughly enjoyed this one. A stalker cold case from 70 years ago coupled with a stalker case of today.
A few twists and a question of morality and the grey areas that come with it.
Some quite spicy bits as well.
Child abuse, blood, murder, violence.

I read these in the wrong order with Offspring first and Off Season second. Either way I liked it. It’s a story of some weird feral people coming in contact with civilized people. Definitely lots of gore and gross situations. I recommend reading the afterword about the authors choices. It really got into publishers and how they affect how stories get changed.

Parents go on vacation and leave their kids with a nanny/babysitter. The babysitter is charming and lovely and children are not. Conflict arises and morality and character are called into question. The question becomes, who wins the game?

This one flows nicely. It is a story of a college bound girl moving to university away from her dad for the first time. Awful things happen and there are great twists. There is a lot of violence and gore though. THE DOG DOES NOT DIE.
